Sorry Chad!
was a question mark in my mind after "no chance for a .24 to get 10 min run, even with 14T CB", but fore some reason, still unknown, didn't go on the reply text field also...:)
and golden i need to be, for going in A main with the experienced guys from here...
2056 is "big boy" to be relesed early 2009, right?
what pipe is that one in the .21 engine+pipe+clutch combo?...any plans for .24 combo?

MAIN BEARING

CHAD, Is the main bearing of 24 engine the same size as the main bearing for 21 engine? I am usualy order from Amains and I think they have bearings listed only for 21 engines.
Thanks.

Chad Phillips 12-24-2008 10:12 AM

andraz - bearings are the same size for .21 and .24

Sweet, love the skins. Chad, Brown Santa delivered the carb Xmas eve, thanks for the help. Haven't put it in yet though. My older kids bought me a Beertender for Xmas, been busy making sure it works properly ha ha ha.

Thanks!

Got to run about a half gallon thru my new motor last night..... All I can say is wow, very linear power, screaming fast on top, and still plenty of bottom end, even after geared up a tooth on the clutch. Cant wait to get some more fuel thru it and actually lean it out some more.

I got a Trinity Platinum A. Drake in a deal for a Truggy. The engine maybe has 12 tanks on it. I have no idea how to tune this engine. I'm not even sure what the base settings are. I took it out and ran it today it ran fine. I tuned it to be rich so not to mess it up. I didn't get more than to tanks through her before I discovered the front diff needs rebuilding. Brought it home took the head off and the piston is clean and shiny still. It gets stuck at TDC so I know it's a fresh engne. Just need some help and some suggestions. It sure sounds mean as hell.

Well i really like what im hearing from this engine. But, im looking between the .24 or .21 (stock, not modded versions) for my kyosho st-rr truggy, which would be better? Oh and what dynamite pipe?
*Bout to put this engine on layaway at my hobbyshop! Is this the best engine for the price?

franklucas 12-28-2008 06:23 PM

i think so for 229 base model it just plain rips and low temps and good run times. i think i heard the dynamite 086 but the trinity big boy pipe is the one to run!! i ran a jp3 last year and ed from eb mods told me it was robbing my engine of hpa nd runtime i was getting like 8.5 - 9 minutes a tank and i thought it was fast. this year i am running the trinity pipe and i hear i will get +10 runtime and more power, cant wait. I have the .24 for truggy and the .21 for buggy.

slaytanic 12-28-2008 07:10 PM

If you run on a large open tack go for the .21 with either the 086 or the Bigboy. For tight technical track slap in a .24 for the low end grunt. Spend the extra and get the prerun version. Trust me, it is worth it's weight in gold.

franklucas 12-28-2008 07:37 PM

thanks slaytanic i did mean 086:)
