I would go with 24 for truggy and 2056bb, you can still gear it up if you need extra speed, and you wont loose too much low end grunt vs21 with lower gearing.

+1 on the 24.

Definitely better than the Go 5 port, higher quality motor that get's better fuel mileage and has more power. I have a go 5 port as a backup backup and while the motor is good for the price the extech motors are in a different league.

Wouldn't a better comarison be the Trinity .24 vs. the Go .25 (or The Trinity .21 vs. the Go .21)? In either case, I suggest you go with the Trinity if you can spare the $$$.

the .21 race prep is on back order... Should i just order the .24 race prep(both 249)? Now these have been broke in so you can drop them in right??? And do you have to run 30%?
Or should i just wait for the race prep .21?

I took it out and ran it today it ran fine. I tuned it to be rich so not to mess it up. I didn't get more than to tanks through her before I discovered the front diff needs rebuilding. Brought it home took the head off and the piston is clean and shiny still. It gets stuck at TDC so I know it's a fresh engne. Just need some help and some suggestions. It sure sounds mean as hell.

that is a Picco motor.... run only Picco plugs.... they love the 086 tuned pipe, and they tend to go lean once they warm up.. so set intital settings rich and you will find once the motor fully warms up it will come into tune....never attempt to tune the motor before its fully heat soaked....Picco's are more sensitive to this then any other motor I have found......

Took advantage of some decent weather here in CT. Fired up my Ex Tech. I do have to work on my cold weather tuning skills, but all in all she ran well. Looking forward to the first indoor event next week @ RCX in MA :sneaky:
Thx again Chad :)

Maximo thanks just the answers I was looking for. Was beginning to think no one would reply that would have been a turn off. Actually your description is pretty much accurate I noticed it when I ran it the other day it leaned after it got warm. You wouldn't happen to know the factory settings or where I can find them would you? I'm no rook to tuning I'm just used to Nova based engines. This seems to nice of a mill to mess up going at it blindly. Not to mention it was practically free.

No they don't include a plug, I've had the best success with the Extech #5 or the OS P4...

I belive pipes will be available Jan 9th? I will have two Extech FM 21's with Bigboy pipes coming tomorrow to do some testing. I'll let ya'll know what's up. I am interested to see the feel of the FM's versus the two EB Extechs I had.

drs92 12-29-2008 05:22 PM

This is the version of the .24 i want right??? And the .24 is best in truggy with 086, not the .21???
