i wasnt able to get a answer on the difference in pricing so i have to investigate my self, well i guess the prices of the engines on the trinity site are correct. for example $375 for the .21 race prep. the same engine on amain is $259, but this must be a mistake i went to my LHS and they checked thier cost and it was $350. I have two engines back ordered through amain but I dont think im gonna get those prices per small print. lol

Glad to see you running the good stuf.. trinity and losi:sneaky: |
the only moter i have run is the rb ws7t and was wondering if anyone could compare the trinity to that for me.i am really interested to try one of these mills
|
i have run the ws7 II, III, and c6bbt. Not sure what you mean by ws7t? I ran the base model of the extech .21. I broke it in and was inpressed by the low temps, power throught out the rpm range, and solid runtimes(not the greatest runtimes but I was running the jp-3 pipe and getting 8.5 - 9 minutes. I hear with the trinity pipe you get more power and over 10 minutes a tank.) The Rb engines were great as well but definately a little more money. The main difference is customer support. For me if I had a problem with my Extech and posted on this forum chad says send it to me I'll take care of it with a fast turn around. If I ever had a problem with my RB or have read on the RB forum about people having problems I don't see much coperation from RB. There are a lot of racers that try to help, but thats about it. You can't go wrong with the quality and performance of either engine, but the Exech customer support is nice. Im not tring to say Rb has no customer support but it does not compare to Trinity

thanks man.i meant the ws7111 think i may try the full modded one.do you think the 053 dynamite pipe wiil work or not.thanks for all the help

8ight-t & trinity
i'm planning to buy an 8ight-t RR in march 2009...as for the engine, .28 seems too powerful for me, so i'm looking for a trinity .21 or .24...my local track is small to medium, about 100ft straight, jump almost in the middle, after landing another 20-25 ft, an 90 deg left turn...
in this case which engine to choose from this 6 trinitys?...and what pipe (from amain) for a smooth powerband and GOOD RUNTIME...10 min it's a must...quals are 10 min here. i'm not on a tight budget, but a prefer not to spend 300 for the mill and 100 for the pipe...maybe the "saved" money will go for losi smart diff when available and worth to... i'll use dynamite maxlife black shoes: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13814 what springs to put on? how much (in %) power and runtime a can expect from a full set of acer racing ceramic (hybrid) bearings? ps...sorry for my poor english, isn't my native language, also for offtopics, but i saw many guys with 8ights on this thread |

I would probably start with 1.0s. Florin- I would recomend the .21 Race Prep. Pt # {TRI40060} along with the Ex Tech comparable { I don't know the Trinity PT #, Chad??? :) } 2057 exhaust. Being on a small to medium track, you won't need the "added RPM" benefits of the Fully Modded version. Also, the 2057 exhaust will provide smooth pull all through the powerband and excellent mileage. I know Chad likes the 2056 as well, another option to consider. 2056 Pipe- http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/33193 how much (in %) power and runtime a can expect from a full set of acer racing ceramic (hybrid) bearings? The E.T RP and FM engines comes stock with ceramic rear bearings. I'm not sure if the front are, nor am I sure if the stock engine does. IMHO, the Acer's, while I'm sure they're high quality, simply won't be necessary. ps...sorry for my poor english, isn't my native language, also for offtopics, but i saw many guys with 8ights on this thread |
Hmmmm....I don't know why that reply came out like it did. Anyway, read carefully, my answers/suggestions are in the green font.
Mud- I believe a few people have experimented with the 053 and liked it, but got better mileage with the 56/7 pipes. |

thanks for your answers
big boy seems a nice pipe, and only 62$...no chance for a .24 to get 10 min run, even with 14T CB...i'm a bit afraid of .21, this season many guys used .21 (C6BB, Ninja, V SPEC) and seemd underpowered especially when exits tight turns by ceramic ball bearing set, i mean complete set for wheels, diff, CB, etc...i don't plan to touch the engine from the first day |
florin - dont be so sure you wont get 10 minutes from a .24... the .24 is not a gas hog like .28's... Use the .24 and 2056 pipe and you will be golden! :D
cjt - im fresh out of skillz :( lol |
