My apologies !!! I did not see this post till now !

I will gladly wait till the magazine comes out, its one of the reasons I buy XRC....... I just thought you guys were trying the brush off the dyno results question.....

NitroOB4You 06-09-2008 03:52 AM

OK...it may not be XDyno...but this MIGHT alleviate some of the tension here...
http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h2...le/eb_pack.jpg

BTW, I also posted this on the Grid, just lookin for some help.
"Has anyone run RB plugs? I ask 'cause my shop seems to only have them
and P3s. Im not even sure if the RBs are turbo, didn't ask. I'm
debating trying either out for break in. I wanted to run some fuel
through it the next couple days, get it ready for Rome.
Ed, will you have any plugs to buy @ Rome? Or does anyone know if CRC
carries Nova or E.T? I know I can order online, but as noted above, I
wanted to run some today. Thx :)"

;)

Chad Phillips 06-09-2008 05:21 AM

maximo - dyno sheets will be on Trinity's website sometime this week. Ed is sending them to our web guy. All of our spec's will be up there as well. Just be patient and we will get you the information needed.

I did test some new things with ed (which will be our own modification's) and it was unreal. If any of you plan on attending the pro series race, I will be running it there.

cdbias 06-09-2008 06:29 AM

It's hard to get answers from a bunch of people you piss off....

Sounds like somebody didn't get their Trinity sponsorship. LMFAO

Toiffel 06-09-2008 06:41 AM

whuaaaaaaaaaaaaa I need my dyno results.....whuaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hey guys... no need to turn this in to a hate fest. Lets get back on track ;) Braaaaaaaaaa :D see ya at the track!

Toiffel 06-09-2008 07:11 AM

no hatin' just having some good old fashion fun....LOL

The Joker 06-09-2008 07:51 AM

+1 - Toiffel..!

Chad, I'm just an outsider looking in & trying to let Maximo see the light! Like him I too have a lot of questions & wondering about the new age of motors coming out BUT I'm not trying to beat the info out of anyone with words, etc...! :weird:

I've only been in this hobby for 3-years now & it don't take a big brain to realize that most engine blocks, etc. are the same. A block is just the base & the difference is what each company dose to it/them!

Maximo 06-09-2008 07:56 AM

I am an engine modifier who is interested in this new engine.... I have plenty of money to buy my own gear so sponsorship has nothing to do with anything.....I hear big claims about every new engine and the Ex-Tech is no different...So I am asking for justification to these claims......

Toiffel 06-09-2008 08:00 AM

so, if you have the money why don't u buy one and test it out, and let us know ur findings, we would appreciate u spread ur valuable knowledge around ;)

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...nator/WORD.jpg Thats what I'm talking about! Being your a engine modifier why not just pick one up & do some testing for yourself. Like with anything new you have to WAIT for the testing results, etc....

Savage6151 06-09-2008 09:37 AM

I watched Chap Phillips run his EX-Tech this weekend and I can justify it was fast...... Plenty of low end as well. Excellent Mill! See ya in Rome.

I just bought 2 Sirio CL7B engines..I found it to not have enough power for my applications which is why I am asking for more info on these Ex-Tech engines........ I just bought a Nova 28-7T this morning anyways... but I will kepp the new Trinity .24 in mind based off its dyno performance...

I run on a large mud track... the surface is deep loose black soil, it requires a motor with huge amounts of power and snap..... So far the Picco's have been the best...... the OS 28 wasn't bad either....Now I will try Nova 28-7T and move Sirio maybe to a buggy....

C Branch 06-09-2008 10:51 AM

I am loving the .21 in my truggy!! I started out with the 086 and it was good on the bottom, and psycho through the mid and top. I decided to try a 053 on it and WOW!!!! The bottom end is unbelievable!! It is still great through the mid, and tapers off a bit on the top. I could probably throw a 14t bell on it and get that top back.
For the first time ever, I am able to go over 10 minutes without pitting. I used to get around 8 minutes with all my other engines, but the ExTech just runs so well that I don't need to push it as hard, resulting in much better run time.
It is still tight so I am sure it will get even better.

Thanks for the support Ed and Team Trinity!!

EXTECH .24

Chad Phillips 06-09-2008 02:44 PM

merry christmas maximo

Displacement: .21c.i. / 3.49cc

Bore: .643inch / 16.332mm

Stroke: .656inch / 16.675mm

Usable RPM Range: 5000-40000rpm

Recommended Pipes:

ExTech 2013 for the best bottom-end power and throttle response.

ExTech 2057 for smoother bottom and harder pulling Mid and Top rpm

Recommended Plugs using 30% Trinity Platinum Fuel:

Turbo #5- High Humidity Days / Outside Ambient Temp Range 50*-80*

Turbo #6- Hot and Low Humidity Days / or High Altitude Racing / Outside Ambient Temp Range 70*-100*

Race Prepped Engine Item: TRI40064

1. Engines are blueprinted and hand assembled to guarantee precision parts fit, longest engine life and best possible performance.

2. Carburetors are inspected for damaged o-rings, and defects. Carburetors are then Flow Bench Tested and mixture valves pre-set.

3. Engines are Broken-In with 500cc of Trinity Break-In Fuel and ready to be Race Tuned.

4. After Break-In, a static compression reading is taken to insure proper Piston Sleeve fit. Engines must read 110-120psi to be with-in spec.

5. Each engine is then Dyno Tuned with Trinity 30% Platinum, ExTech 2013 pipe, and ExTech #6 Turbo plug. Dyno runs must match original baseline engine to be acceptable as a Race Prepped engine.

Recommended Pipes:

ExTech 2013 for the best bottom-end power and throttle response.

ExTech 2057 for smoother bottom and harder pulling Mid and Top rpm.

Recommended Plugs using 30% Trinity Platinum Fuel:

Turbo #5- High Humidity Days / Outside Ambient Temp Range 50*-80*

Turbo #6- Hot and Low Humidity Days / or High Altitude Racing / Outside Ambient Temp Range 70*-100*

Fully Modified Engine Item: TRI40066

Fully Modified Engines are blueprinted and hand assembled to guarantee precision parts fit, longest engine life and best possible performance. The exact same procedure is preformed as the Race Prepped engines except the following changes have been made to offer more usable rpm and power.

1. Connecting Rod is machined on Mill to be lightened, and then treated to strengthen and eliminate machining stresses.

2. Piston is lightened on Milling Machine while maintaining strength and integrity.

3. Crankshaft has undergone extensive R&D testing with different ratios of balance between the Crankshaft, Piston, and Rod assembly. All this testing has helped develop a lighter better-balanced crankshaft, while keeping proper crankshaft inertia for a smoother idle.

4. Port Timing has been adjusted to offer a more liner feel across the bottom-end with a noticeable increase in the Mid and Upper rpm power. Usable rpm range is increase from 40,000rpm to 45,000rpm over stock.

Recommended Pipes:

ExTech 2013 for the best all around power and tune.

Recommended Plugs using 30% Trinity Platinum Fuel:

Turbo #5- High Humidity Days / Outside Ambient Temp Range 50*-80*

Turbo #6- Hot and Low Humidity Days / or High Altitude Racing / Outside Ambient Temp Range 70*-100*

Chad, what clutch setup are you running in your buggy with the ExTech? Im running a Losi.

Teufel Racing 06-09-2008 06:16 PM

Chad,
Thanks for the info you posted on the motors. That clears up a few things for me. On the plugs though, the number 5 and 6 plugs reccomended are the new Ex Tech ones right? I ran a P3 in my truggy with the motor and felt that it ran well, my buggy motor didn't seem to like it so much.

Chad Phillips 06-09-2008 06:43 PM

chuck - the trinity 3 shoe adjustable clutch :)

Teufel - didnt u say ur using a jp3 pipe.. not sure how that works.. stick with our pipes ;) I like #5.. more power!

Toiffel 06-09-2008 06:47 PM

p3 os plug not a pipe....;)

Teufel Racing 06-09-2008 07:26 PM

Chad,
Yeah I thought the pipe (JP3) might have been part of the issues I was haveing. Plan on getting the 57 for the buggy soon. I will try the #5 plugs as well. The P3 in the truggy with the 2013 pipe worked well from what I could tell. If the #5's are better that should help, as the P3's didn't last that long.

The Joker 06-10-2008 06:18 AM

ha haaaaaaaaaa He said/called you "Teufel"..... :D lmao

Chad, it's OK he's more like a Tootsie Roll pop anyway, the name fits him just right! lmmfao

GOOD LUCK & be safe to all going to Rome!

Team Trinity dominates in Tucson again!!

Both Expert classes were TQed by Trinity ExTech engines, Truggy by me, and buggy by Brian Kinwald.
Truggy was won by me and Buggy was won by Charles Hicks, with Brian Kinwald in second.

Colin, good lob man, so how much fuel is through the engine now? and what pipe did you go with?

Thanks Brian!! I have about a gallon through the engine. It is still tight and gets stuck sometimes, but it is getting better all the time. I am running the 053 on it right now. It makes great power down low, and through the mid. It seems to fall off a little on top compared to the 086, but that was expected.

Teufel Racing 06-15-2008 02:01 PM

Branch,
What plug were you running in the motor? I have been told the O.S. P4 or the ExTech 5's are the ticket. I ran P3 in one of my mills and did ok with it, but the oher one didn't like it. I don't think the buggy liked the JP3 pipe I was running either. Chad reccomended the 2057 to me when I called about something else. Thanks for any info.

I was in a jam last week and had to run a Nova Rossi plug in it. I think it is a #7 or something like that? It seems to be working pretty well with the 053 pipe.

Colin,
Thanks for the info on the plugs. I plan on getting some of the ExTech plugs here soon. I have a bunch of Rossi plugs that I can use but only have 5 and 6's in both c and f rates. So far I am liking the motors and can't wait for more run time on them.
