I also forgot to mention that I am running the Dynamite 086 pipe. It is not lacking for power anywhere.

Colin so how is the 086 compared to the 2013? Smoother bottom?

Joe, I have not ran the 2013 yet, but with the way the 086 is working, I may just leave it the way it is. It is just plain fast from bottom to top.

Come on up to ETMR Saturday and let's see if you still get 10 minutes a tank ;)

Cready 06-03-2008 07:05 PM

Kieth,
Laquan's Extech engine was very rich on the top end when he was at your track. That's why the top end was slow and it got poor fuel milage. Come to Madness and watch him do 10 minute pit stops.

mremtr 06-04-2008 04:06 AM

You folks need to come up on the 14th, going to be a ton of guys there !
Jon from Team Scream wants to try and get a large turn out. I have added more lights too;) how about you and Laquan come on up ,that would really make things interesting! we would have some of the fastest guys in theare there ! Then I could get a really accurate laptime gauge;) So how about it ?

Crim3Wav3 06-04-2008 07:59 AM

10 minutes on a tiny track sounds about right Matt.....the way it was screaming at ETMR doesnt make a good case for being rich on top. Not to mention it was still being broken in according to Laquan.

Cready 06-04-2008 08:56 AM

I don't know what kind if fuel milage the Extech would get at etmr, but I was impressed with what I saw at Madness and order one the next day. Can't wait to get it going.

Crim3Wav3 06-04-2008 09:20 AM

i will say that it felt undergeared too....at least in his Losi. It was maxing out about 1/4 of the way down the front straight!

I will agree that it brought a smile to my face. SOOOO much torque on tap.

Hope you can make it up on the 14th!

Trinity ExTech engine takes the TQ and the win again last night in Tucson. The engine is still very tight, but is starting to come alive more and more everytime I run it. I am going to start playing with pipes this weekend to see what it likes and doesn't like.

Got in a couple of the new mills and had a 2013 pipe to go with one of them. That set up in truggy is an animal. Ran it just as Chad said and put about 8 tanks of practice through the truggy. All but one tank came off at 230-235 with one tank spiking at 250. I am very impressed so far, Trinity and Ed have built some monsters. Run time in the truggy was better than 13 min per tank with the one tanks at 250 commind in right over 15 min. I ended up running an O.S. P3 (as I have not gotten any P4's) and seemed to run well with it. Fuel was some Byron's Gen 2 30% that I had left over to use before I opened up some of the Trinity 30% I got in. Frist Club race in town is Sun. can't wait to run.

Toiffel 06-07-2008 07:13 PM

wow, wow, wow, I ran one today in my truggy 8t, king headz shoes, silver springs, 2013 werks, sickkkkkk......just the sound alone makes me feel goose bumps, liking it very very much, after 20 minute main came in @ 188, very tight still, lots of room for some leaning out....lol

C Branch 06-08-2008 07:37 AM

I got to race mine again last night and it is really starting to come alive. It is still super tight, but I was able to TQ and take the win in the Expert Truggy main by going the whole 10 minutes without pitting.
I tried a 053 on it for the first time last night. I am really liking this pipe better than the 086. It had a lot more bottom end, but lost a touch on the top.
I am loving this engine!!!

Why don't you guys post the dyno results of this motor..... I know sure as shit EB has dyno tested this motor many times........... If its as powerful as you guys are saying why hasn't the dyno been posted yet ? Or did it not dyno so well and your keeping the results under wraps ?

The dyno sheet is on Trinity's web site if you really care about it that much. I guess none of us really care about what the dyno says.

I think this motor sounds awesome... I am just really curious of its X-Dyno report..I am 100% guilty of being a fan of dynoes, the X-Dyno is the main reason I read XRC LOL ! If the X-Dyno wasn't 6K i would have one just to play with..... Its nice to see the powerband of the motors as well as how different pipes react on the motor.. As well based off the dyno results modifications can be targeted to improve any weak areas of the powerband.. Many people don't seem to realize that a dyno is useful for more then just gathering peak numbers..Anyways I will check out Trinity's website..I was on that website a while back but I did not see any dyno sheets......

I am also extremely curious about Trinity's new Picco built .24... Has anyone here run this motor or have any internal pics of it ? For my heavy dirt tracks a motor like that could perfect......

Maximo 06-08-2008 09:13 AM

I was just on Trinity's website I cannot find a dyno report for any of the motors.....

You are right, the dyno has its place, but for the majority of people all that matters is the peak number. We both know that peak numbers aren't the most important thing.
