Max your right about that! The Dyno is the only way to see REAL results, to help better any engine. I Love it too! The 24 is not a Picco based engine it's Sirio based just like the 21.. I have run one of the test 24's in my MBX5t a few weeks ago and it was unreal. More power every where and getting almost 10mins run time. After a 5 min heat I had alittle less then a half a tank left. I was pitting at 8 mins in the main noprob. =)

Lol Ok there Mr. Knowitall your ASSumtions are completly wrong. Instead of coming on this thread thinking you know everything, why don't YOU go buy an EX Tech 21 & 24 and get your facts right.

Ok ASSumtions! Do you even know how to browse a website, because you must be looking at the wrong engine.
Here is a pic of the SIRO BASED Team Trinity EX Tech 24 http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u.../trinity24.jpg Direct link: http://www.teamtrinity.com/shop/item.asp?item=TRI40103 that is a Picco :nod::nod::nod: my god are you guys that lost that you cannot tell a Picco from a Sirio ? I will take a picture of a Drake 28 here shortly and show you its the identical case and carb... Honestly its not worth arguing with you guys as obviously you dont know jack about the motors your running or testing...... Maybe ask someone like ED who actually know something if the .24 is Sirio or Picco based...... Watch what stories you tell as I will be buying these motors and maybe having them dynoed... I will also post pictures and timing profiles to compare against the Kanai and CL7B |

I couldn't care what Ed Bridges has to say to be honest....LOL !!!!

For your info I just got off the phone with Ed and WE where LOL about your Assumptions. SO :ha: A FOOL and ONLY A FOOL would say something is identical by looking at a picture. Only a Fool would buy the Extech when they can buy the Sirio version for $100.00 less......:nod::nod: |
Okay i'll bite.... So for sure 100% positive the new .24 is not a Picco ? it is 100% for sure a new Sirio engine..all new everything includung case ?
Also please dont be calling me a fool.. I know in person you would not call me a fool, so please dont be doing so online... I may be opinionated but I am honest and true..unlike half you people who will pump any product you can profit from..... I bet you guys dont know half as much as your pretend to and your total mechanical skill with these engines is limited to changing glowplugs..... Sure you guys may know ED Bridges but you aren't ED Bridges, and even if you were that means nothing to me... |

I'm not some little kid! If we had this conversation at the track it wouldn't have lasted this long. All i am going to say is I know a thing or two about engines..All you guys seem to think you have some sort of patent on engine knowledge and truly think the word of engines ends outside of your repsected camps.. never before have seen such a bunch of ignorant arrogant people as those who surround these big name engines modders . I have been talked down to by every engine modder and their fleet of .... everyone talks to me like I am some sort of newbie to the game yet nobody even considers what background I have... So go ahead and pat yourselves on the back as your the king of your very tiny world and pray your engines are never put on a test next to one of mine, as I promise it would be very humbling to see what I bring to the table when it comes to modified engines... |

I may be mistaken that the .24 is a Picco, but I am not a fool ..... Is this new Extech to the Sirio Kanai what the Drake 28 was to the Picco 28 ? Or the Drake .21 to the P7R.... I remember arguing this exact same stuff when the Drake motors came out.... Some people claimed they were some new fantastic engine specially made by Picco to Trinity standards.... Yet int he end the only thing to Trinity standards was logo on the block, other then that the motor was just a regular production Picco..... Not that there is anything wrong with that as the Picco are good mills, but Trinity did charge alot of money for the Drake motors as compared to the Picco's by OFNA.... The whole reason I am asking about these Extech engines is to see if the motor is indeed unique to Trinity or have they just rebranded the production Sirio engines as they did with the Picco's..... If they did make changes over the production Sirio's what changes were made and how would it affect the powerband and performance of the engine ? Are the Extech's superior to the Sirio STI engines ? do they have the STI piston fitment and crank hardcoating ? What separates the Extech's from the non STI Sirio engines which can be bought for $229.00 at A-Main ? What did the dyno say about these Extech engines ? |
Maximo - none of our engines are picco's. All of our engines are built to our spec's. I should know. I tested them. any questions?

You know what I think, I think all these guys & Trinity are out to get you Maximo...NOT!!! :sneaky:
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...r/cef14145.jpg ........... What are you smokin buddy?! All these guys are on here talking from hands on experience about the engines & here comes Mr. Joeyshoemakerpro I know engines... Do you have a new Trinity EX Tech engine in front of you??? Well from reading the post it don't sound like it & your needless info is from pictures! But yet you ramble on about how you know for a fact that you know this engine is a WHATEVER! It sounds like you are upset cuz you have no specs & that makes you clueless! Just relax & the proof will be in the pudding but for now you will just have to deal with the feed back good or bad about the new engines without acting like a little child! FYI, If you can just read back as an outsider --> (ME) looking in & tell me what you think?! more than a handful of guys talking about the new engines they have in their hands on AND ran & then theres you --------------------> YEESH! Need I say more???!!! Anyway... I seen the EX-TECH engines run & they have mad all around power & all of my friends that have them cant say enough about them... |

i would appreciate if you would not come on here and make false comments about our product. All you have to do is ask and I will answer. Keyboard hero's are not needed.

The only thing I am upset about is that the new .24 is not a Picco ! If the Extech is a huge improvement over the Kanai so be it....If these guys dont like me asking questions so be it.. All I wanted to know are some specs for these engines, bore/stroke and Xdyno report.. I have not criticized the motor in any way other then ask to see some specs... I can see clear as day they are nearly identical to their Sirio siblings in port geometry, crank design, case design, bore stroke etc....maybe the timing is different, button is different etc...I am just curious about it is all and I am finding nobody wants to give any solid answers other then to tell me " Take my word for it kid !" .......I admit I seriously thought the .24 was a Picco based off its pictures, but I guess I am mistaken...I am actually very disappointed as I do prefer my Picco 21 over my Sirio CL7B .21.. the thought of a Picco based .24 was making me drool.. As I honestly find the Sirio to be to smooth for my personal taste.. I have run a 28 STI as well as my CL7B STI and I prefer the lightswitch feel of the Picco....................... So this means no Picco .24 on the horizon for me, which honestly does make me angry, i was really looking for a middle ground betweent he P3 28 and the P7 EVO 2......... |

this thread rocks. Kept me busy while liverc was down:p
|
All i ever wanted to know was the bore/stroke and x-dyno report.... 3 important things for me when choosing an engine...... I was also looking forward to a Picco .24 ( so sue me I was wrong !) ...untill the sponsored driver started talking and calling me a fool things were going well and peaceful

Just ran a club race with the new mills and in truggy with the 2013 pipe it was an animal. Smooth power band and great runtime. Ended up taking second. The buggy still needs some work with the new mill, JP3 didn't seem to work well with the motor, will have to try the 2057 pipe when I get a chance. Other than that, so far I am liking the mills and look forward to getting them more dialed in.
