Purchased the Eb modded Ex-tech .21. Ran awesome the first weekend. Couldnt believe the power. This weekend the carb started to stick at about half throttle. Can anyone from the Trinity gang possibly help me resolve this. Thanks..

Would the .21 be enough for a 8-T or should I just wait for the .24? Looking at the EB Mods version for either. Medium sized track that requires a lot of bottom end.

Chad, sent you an email about the expected in-stock date for the .24s. Thanks!

Yes the .21 has plenty of power for the truggys and that .24 is going to be a monster more power than you would ever need and a whole lot of fun ..either motor is fine for the truggys if you run on a smaller tight track i would say .21 but if you race or play on a big track like 200 ft plus then the .24 is the way i would go, both are great motors you cant go wrong with either...

I was @ CRC in Rome,NY for Rd 1 RCPro. Ed had let Greg Vogel run the .24 in his trug. That thing was just plain NASTY! Based on that, I'd say the .21 Race Prep would be great in a trug. I know a few runnin them now and doing very well.

I ran yesterday @ The Barn/Chester,NY in the North East Super Series, Rd1.
My engine doesn't even have a full Gal though it yet, metal pinch still exists.
Two 5 min quals, engine temping around 220 (temp'd by Ed), finishing up with
1/2 tank after both runs. Qual one, it felt pig rich but still made decent power.
The only time all w/end I touched the needles was to lean the top 1 hr before Qual 2. I pit at about 4:45 in my 10 min main. Still had a 1/2 tank at the end of the run. I am running the Race Prep with Byron's Gen 2 30, O.S P4, Werks 2013 in a TQ SX8 bug. I am very, very impressed.
PS- Anyone wanna buy a NR 215K to help me get another ExTech? :P:P:P

slaytanic 07-15-2008 05:58 AM

Its what I was using before LOL! I might as well try it before I get a new pipe. I would really like to try the 1005 pipe. I'm using Maxlife shoes and 1.0 springs until my Trininty clutch setup comes in. Chad do you know if they have the adjustable clutch in a 15t for the xray in stock?
