If your Jammin is so great, go post in the Jammin thread.

.28????? What crack smokin track lets you run a .28 in your buggy!?! 1st of all aren't we talking about the .21 engines/Extech .21 on this forum????

Damn! It sounds like some haters just can't get over them selfs!

The Joker 07-24-2008 10:13 AM

I had both Jammin engines .21 in my buggy & .28 in my truggy... They have great power/speed BUT the run time sux and theres no way in hell the .21 is faster/more power then the extech .21..!!! Heck I also had the Picco P3 .28 FT in my truggy it's nice to have the power for the sort run-up's but the extech's have the same low-end. In the end the extech took me every time due to run time/pits...

My back-up $174.00 Sportwerks .21 V2 engine will smoke the Jammin engines anywhere on the track & fuel mileage too! No B.S!!!

slappy89 07-24-2008 01:40 PM

I've got a motor that I guarantee will out run any of your alls motors...whether it be jammin, extech, etc. And its a .21.

The Joker 07-24-2008 07:44 PM

Oh Yeah....Well.....I'm gonna drop this in my Buggy!!! http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...V/DSC02320.jpg Now what?! :D

slaytanic 07-24-2008 08:16 PM

Can we please get back on track?

My modded Extech is power extreme! But it delivers it smooooooooth. I want to try to see how much run time I can get. Anyone know part #s for the venturies? Chad said Trinity has em but I cannot find it on the site. I want to go to 7.5 or maybe 7.

supralative 07-24-2008 11:04 PM

slaytanic

as soon as they are off back order
i am gonna order one and see if its
my Extech .21 i should be getting in a day or two

speedy2 07-25-2008 10:55 AM

is the Extech ED mods pré-run-in engine
almost run-in when you receive it ???
can one use OS¨P3 plugs ??

supralative 07-25-2008 11:04 AM

According to Ed, it has been ran in with 5 tanks.
From reading this thread, people have used P3, P4, and a few other plugs.

Speaking with Team Trinity reps, they say run about another quart of fuel through it...but overall its ready to run when you get it.

C.Poh 07-25-2008 11:18 AM

yes their 2 differant versions you can purchase theirs the pretty much stock motor wich comes pre-broke in or you can get the EB modded wich has some more work done to it and also is pre-broke in.. i recieved mine friday and ran half tank in front of my house to make sure everything was set right and then went to race that next morning at 6am for a saturday series and raced it all day with no problems ..

i am running the eb fully modded with a os p4 plug i live in southern california orange county and the p4 is what we have came to like down here ...

so what are the pipe choices some of you guys have come to like ????

i have tried

novarossi 9853------+1st best
novarossi 9901
jp1
jp2
jp3
jp4------+4th best
sirio 2013------+3rd best
grp 2053------+2nd best
dynamite 086
os pipe

Trever Adamo 07-25-2008 12:35 PM

The Nova 9853 is the best buy far besy milade and power everywhere the thing about the grp 2053 pipe when we ran it was it ran wormer then the other witch we do not want to do it was around 225 compaired to the others around 200 or cooler so with that the nova 9853 it best then the sirio 2013 so far we have a little more testing with different headers on the pipes now then when we get what we want Colby or I will post it hear so everyone knows what we recommend to try.I can say with the 086 we ran the C header we are going to try the nova D header on it this weekend as well to the 086 maked grate power but is to more like a on off switch on teh top end if the D header helps take that away like i'm thinking it will it will be a very good set up to run as well and does not cost to much as well very strong we will post that hear sometime sunday.

The jp 4 was very fast as well but had a dead spot just off idle it is just the way that pipe ran other then that it is not a bad choice as well.

Just got a .21 full modd today and will be testing it tom. I noticed no plugs came with it, not even the 1 that was used to "break in".:weird:
I'll be using 25% and not 30% nitro...availability issues. Weather at around mid 90's, humidity 90sh%, 25mtrs above sea level (dunno if that matters):p
Should i adjust head shimming to compensate for the lower nitro content?
What plugs to use in these conditions?
Any suggestions guys?
Thanks in advance!

mp3ranger 07-25-2008 06:22 PM

what header do you run with the Nova 9853? I have been running the Tsais 2053 with 9 to 11 min run times

gtsum 07-26-2008 07:51 PM

Chad or anyone else out here on the East Coast - what pipe to use for the Ex Tech 21 at tracks around here (Tiltyard is the biggest track I run at..the others in VA and MD are smaller). I currently have a 53, 86, and a 1005..Thanks!

mp3ranger 07-26-2008 08:29 PM

At the tilted yard I use the 2053 pipe

C.Poh 07-27-2008 12:21 AM

2053 good choice and the novi 9853 with d header

JKevin 07-28-2008 10:18 AM

Chad won. I would like to thank Trinity, and especially Chad and Ed for all their support and help this weekend.

The Joker 07-28-2008 10:33 AM

Cool. So Chad took 1/8 Buggy & Alessi took Truggy, Nice! There you have it another race dominated by Extech....:sneaky:

thanks for the pipe info fellas

CarCrazy 07-28-2008 11:11 PM

I've seen some fast ones at the track, so far the feedback is positive on the motor. I might try one... hmmmm:cool:

I found that this site is having a special summer sale on the new Extech's, and 4 other new race motors that are all top contenders.... here:

cdbias 07-29-2008 06:58 AM

Thanks for the kind words Joe. I would also like to thank Chad Phillips and Ed Bridges for their help and support.
If you ever see Joe, Chad, or Ed make sure and go say high to them. Hands down some of the nicest and coolest guys you could ask to meet.

Motors are totally sick. I felt Chad's after a 30 minute main and you could have rested your face on it. Cool as could be......:ha:

Wahooooooooo
Just got mine in today!!!!!!
As soon as the new clutch set arrives, I can drop it in.

Do you guys pull the backplate, carb, pinch bolt, etc....and put sealant around them?

Right now we got HI 90's LOW 100's.
What plug would you guys run around here now.
Odonnell 30% Race Blend fuel

NitroOB4You 07-29-2008 10:35 AM

Ex Tech 5 or 6 if you can get em. Or NR 5/6 is a good choice.OS P4 (what I'm currently using with very good results) in a pinch will also work.

I simply ran it, did not remove/seal anything :) Well...wait, I did put a dab of O2 Safe sealant on each side of the pinch bolt. That's it though.

No need to take anything apart &/or off the engine, just clean & seal around whatever when installed!

I always seal up around the carb pinch screw on both sides, around the high-end needle/inlet fuel nipple & around the carb where it meets the engine when installed... Best stuff on the market to use is ---> (((Lucky-7 Engine sealant)))

supralative 08-01-2008 11:38 PM

Ran two tanks through it today. Felt nice and crisp.
Will run two more tanks tomorrow and then first club race with it.
Hope all goes well....:tire:

Leaky low speed needle boot

OK so what's the fix for the leaky low speed needle boot, engine ran like crap last night, didn't want to hold a tune, kept flaming out, all of a sudden would lean bog, and when I checked in detail noticed the all around the sliding barrel & rubber sleeve was wet, just like the pictures posted by someone else here, so what's the fix??

jpalessi 08-02-2008 08:58 AM

;)

Toiffel 08-02-2008 10:13 AM

yeah, very funny Joey, as funny as a heart attack.....

I don't know, last night it ran good for 2 qualif. and then for the main, all of the sudden a lean bog on the bottom, but when it hit on top perfect, checked the glow plug (brand new before main) and no sign of running lean, tried richening it nothing tried leaning it nothing, no bottom at all (brand new clutch) then when I inspected it I noticed that it was very wet around the same area as previous pictures posted......
and to top it off there is ver little compression......

cdbias 08-02-2008 04:11 PM

Change the carb boot. It throws the tune off. I went through the same thing for a couple weeks and found a very small tear in my carb boot. Ed put a new boot on........tune came back and gained about 1 1/2 minutes of fuel mileage back. Seriously.

If it's on a Losi make sure that its not hitting the center diff mount when the car is flexing.

franklucas 08-02-2008 04:26 PM

Extech .21 non raced tuned version, for sale $200.00 shipped 1/2 - 3/4 gallon basically brand new prolly not even broken in yet. Ran 30% Trinity Plat. p4 plug
