Right on Flanno.
Take nothing away from the MG66. It is a strong reliable performer, (won every major buggy titile over here last year).
But credit where credit is due - the new GXII is a ripper motor.
The weight of the motor gets me. Hold one in your hand and it's like there is nothing there. 34 grams total weight reduction over the GX I think was stated on here. I know we weighed the cooling head and button, and there was 24 grams alone saved there.
Never fear, my trusty MG66 will never be too far away in my tool box, waiting for a chance to hit the track on non points days so I can save the GXII for the serious (and promotional) stuff. Best of both worlds

Got another 7.5 tanks through the GXII at our race meeting today, and it's really starting to come to life now at just over 1/2 a gallon (got it's first real leaning out today)
Just love the way this motor lays down the power, with it's stonky but smooth bottom end response. It is really easy to drive, and just devours jumps with a light tap on the trigger.
I know it's taking a while, but please be patient. This motor is worthwhile waiting for, trust me

Ha ha - Gidday boys !! What are you two roustabouts doing on this respectable thread

Yeah, I don't like pushing the barrow too much these days after the negative vibes I got from a few people at the end of last season, but I do have to say these motors are looking like the goods.
If you boys are keen I would be more than happy to see you right with a good deal. Would be sweet to have you both on board the GO team .

Yo Grizz1 sounds like the new motor is rockin..tempted here but I just can't be disloyal to my MG66..Promised myself this year to spend less time renovating our track and working on everyone else's buggy and more time training and driving myself and so far it's paying off..2 races and 2 positions in the final...no podiums yet but would have made 4th on Sunday if the screw holding my throttle to the servo hadn't departed on a solo mission....still made 7th anyway.Luckily the throttle only stuck about 1/4 open so didn't kill the rod or anything.besides, as that's 10 liters through it since new PRS it's time for new rod and the ceramics back in anyway.I have my throttle servo speed at 80% too so I don't wheelspin so not sure what I'd do with more bottom end.

Hmmm plenty of bottom and screams when you open it wide..I feel another woman metaphor coming on here like the average tune..
