FYI the GX is the Gen 5.5. The MG66 is the only Gen 6 engine from the Go Factory.

Just so people dont get confused with the whole Gen System

thanks for clearing that up mark, as a lot of us were confused with conflicting info from about 50 pages back by a former dealer :(

incorrect !
as mark has stated the GEN 5.5 is the GX range (mark should know as he is the "Go Engine Factory Development Manager" for the GX (gen 5.5) range of motors)
please read the massivemods post above carefully ;)

Ok People

Ill very simply clairfy.

The current GX range of engines are termed Gen 5.5. The Old Gen 5 did have some of the current features but not all, hence why we went from Gen 5 to Gen 5.5.

The Go range has not reached Gen 6 yet. And please take that as gospel as i invented the Gen rating system for the Go Factory so we can differenciate the growth of the engine.

Lets not fuss over that anyway .

Cheers MM

+1

I think the main point Massive is trying to make is that in the grand scheme of things, the GX despite any improvements mechanical or cosmetic, is still a Gen 5.5 motor, nothing more.
