Hi GOTECH guys !
A friend in the past had a Go gx7r but he broke crankcase and he will give me the engine and i want to fix it . I want to ask if the crankcase of the 5R is the same with the 7R.

5R and 7R crankcases are the same in the GX series engines.
I stock this crankcase.

I can't verify that the Pro series engines have the same crankcase.

the engine he will give it to me for 20$ bucks ..
It need a new crankcase and carburetor pinch bolts
maybe i will make it from gx7r to gx5r with changing the piston-sleeve ...
the crankshaft at the crankshaft pin has loose the tin coating ... i must change also the crankshaft ?
Also which is the best pipe?i have a pipe set from my nova 9901 with 41021 header it will be good to use the same?i dont want to buy new GO pipe because i have not the money . I want just to fix this engine cheap.
I have found cheap the parts...
pinch bolts from Precirotate engines 6$
crankcase from ebay with bearings and backplate from gx5r 40$
also if i will make it GX5R i will need 80$ for p/r/s
so i will give 126$ for parts+20$ for the engine =146$ and i will have a new gx5r engine ...
Which cheap pipe set will be better? a dynamite 053 or a dynamite 086? or my novarossi pipeset that i have it already?
Thanks

086 pipe set. Check with motomatt on the parts. He might be able to get you the case cheaper then ebay, and the P/L/R combo cheaper also. If it was me, I would just replace the case if everything else is good, and run it with the 086 pipe. That is the pipe that seems to work wonders on any of the newer higher rpm engines. (from what I have gathered in my infinite research in the last few weeks)

Just got back home from our 3 day National Champs event. What a great weekend. Wicked track and very fast close racing.
GO Racing NZ was the principal event sponsor and we couldn't have asked for a better result. GO GX-5R won the Truggy A-Main 1 hour final (by 4 laps), and Massive Mods MG66 won the Buggy A-Main 1 hour final (by just on a lap).

The track was fast, with a wicked long straight that had the motors peaked out for a long time on every lap.
All the GO and MG66 motors performed flawlessly over all three days. At crunch time on finals day, not one flame out or glitch in either class right through an hour and a halfs racing of semi's and finals
Lots of happy racers getting great value for money out of their motors, which is what it's all about

Awesome Grizz

Our 2 dayer was postponed (proline) due to poor weather , I did 1 lap on Saturday and then the heavens opened up
and today was a total wash out too typical for a long weekend.

Bummer mate. I hate it when that happens

That's great news on the video too. It will really help people with the tuning. A picture paints a thousand words - so a picture with sound must be totally awesome

Sorry, been gone for 3 days at Boy scout camp, I will pm you.

As for swapping the P/S/R over the the Gx. There is no difference in those parts from the older models to the Gx except for the new style rod and the wrist pin being coated. (Gen 5.5 came with coated pins) The Gx has the coated crank, new style head, 2 o-ring hsn, different looking case.
