Do you have to re-tune when switch to a smaller venturi (sp). I went from the 8 to the 7.

BiggB0SS 07-07-2010 05:27 PM

Yes you have to retune your getting less air just my 2 cents. Back to me I have been using the os carb.

The VP shoes won't fit the Losi 4 shoe clutch, nor will the X-Ray extra hard springs - but I know what you mean. I used the X-Ray extra hard springs and the X-Ray 1.71 alloy shoes on my 7 Port, awesome combo. Gone to the Ascendency 4 shoe now on the X-Ray with the gold 1.0 springs. The Ascendency springs are stronger and the 1.0's are just right on the 7 port, 3 port and MG66 for that snappy bottom without too much wheel spin.

Inferno13 - Losi springs: run 4 x gold springs and see how you go. If you need more snap off the mark run 4 x silvers.

Losi spring chart, straight off A-Main
Silver: .040 wire with 30 degree angle
Gold: .040 wire with 25 degree angle
Black: .036 wire with 30 degree angle
Green: .036 wire with 25 degree angle

BigBOSS - you have a Gen 5.5 7 Port there.

Thank You. Now all I need is to find all my parts.
