Well based on the info I think atleast Ed would disagree on the above. :weird:

and many more are Go engine factory oems but not designed by go but materials are the same.

Yep Go have something special going at the moment from what i see.The same way Nova works with Rb ,Jp siim etc and Os with ninja ,sh with nosram and lrp and so on

Actually 2 of the RB line are made in that factory now too.

RB Killer Engines are made by Force, while LRP and Nosram are Piccos ;)

So GO Tech is a foundry, CNC machine shop AND does plastic injection molding? But just makes model car engines?

Just curious.

Oops I should have said made in Taiwan now. Not necessarily by that factory.

As this was very interesting statement I made an inquiry and got feedback from Alpha that even though the parts might look similar as GO they have no relation to GO factory. They do not use GO parts nor use the GO factory as a subcontractor for their engine parts. Now as this is coming directly from Alpha would be nice to know where you Angelo got your data ? All in all I don't care be it what ever as the performance of Alphas is top notch.

Also from the Ed's comments regarding JS it also seems to be different engine.

Others are clear as Precirotate is rebadged GO as well as Caster engine was rebadged GO 5pt and with MG66 the connection is obvious even though the performance beats the GO lineup

I am going to throw out my personal opinion on this subject since it seems to come up a lot lately. WHO CARES!!!!!! Does it really matter what factory makes them? They are all built to the designers specs and that is what really matters. They are all made in Taiwan, they are all new engines on the scene and they are all fighting for respect in the market place against stiff and well established competition. I really have no idea if they are all made in the same factory but it is obvious that they all get their carbs from the same manufacturer and that is probably where all this talk comes from. I have seen all of them (except perciprocate) run and they are all very respectable race engines. So rather than dog each other or worry about what street in Taiwan this motor or that motor is produced on, lets band together and let the race world know that Taiwan can build very respectable race engines that perform very well without draining your race budget for the whole season.

Just my .02 cents, not that anyone cares.

Actually the GO carb and Alpha carb is not the same. The frame of the carb is different, idle screw insertion is different, needles are different (shape + rings) and probably few other points as well.

I think I will start the boner of the day award. And I win today! Got a little over 1/2 gallon of 20% sidewinder through my mg66. So as I like byrons 30% best of all the fuels I have tried, I went ahead and added the extra shim, reset the idle gap and heated it up with the heat gun. Went out side fired it up was running way fat. So I started fiddling with the settings,lsn-hsn. Just smoken and running way fatttttttttt! Got 2 tanks through it. I then figured something must have happened, like to many shims? But I reasoned that a total of .010 was not that much for run in. So I quit for the day wondering what was going on with it. And as I looked over to my left on my little engine table tray there sat the problem. I had forgotten to put in my restricter! Dumb sht!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::eek:

If you are just idling it the restrictor wouldn't matter. It would only restrict it at 3/4 - full throttle.

Dont idle the engine or run it excessively fat , it will damage the engine.

Blackie001 02-01-2010 04:13 PM

Hey Matt, just make sure you use Mark's tuning guide.

These Engines are awesome.

Cheers
