Caster K8T Team truck, PTM 5-Port Turbo, Werks 053, OD 97T, Werks 30%..... super consistant 220-230 on a 65 degree day, mugen 1.0 springs and 3 shoe clutch(could use 1.1's in certain spots).......my buds yellow X-Ray has a heavily and I mean HEAVILY modded Picco P7R EVO2, its no slouch even with carb problems....but it was having to run 280-290 to do what you see here:ha:.......

You can run the 5 port with an 053 pipe, 1.0 or 1.1 springs, and aluminum shoes at LH. Forget the Inside Jobs. Switch 2.0's or Losi Pink Tapers only.

Talking bout RCR bruce, you remember what it was like the last time you were there right after the rain... But for LH yea Switches.

You may want to try those new Sportwerks Hot Laps Qualifiers at RCR. They have a great tread and they are really cheap. I have a set I can't wait to use there.

will g this is MHO...i would remove the rear bearing and give it a good inspection, if the bearing is still nice and smooth, showing no to very little wear and has no graineness what so ever...i would continue to run the bearing for 1.5 ro 2 more gallons and then repeat inspection...as for the connecting rod...i would replace it somewhere around the 3 to 4 gallon mark...

will g yea the 5port is a great engine...however you may want to wait for just a bit to see how the 3port race engine works out, you may want this engine for your buggy...

Hey guys I have a .26 mill that I use for my truggy, but I have yet to put a gallon into it since I only use it during races. i've already change the conrod after break in. My question is are there any issues with the engine that I should keep watch? Presently i'm using a jp2 pipe but it lacks the top end, is the 2047 also suited for a .28? :)

crappy foams. If sportwerks stepped up the foams that they put in there i think these would work really good.

Is this at Redline R/C in Marion??? It looked like it, just wondering. My Aunt lives there and I saw it on the way back, and we're coming down again this summer so we're going to stop by.

Hey thats my Picco 21 beating up that Go-Tech!!! poor little guy was having some carby problems that day.....it seems the aluminum end cap on the carb separated from the main carb body, very similar to the problems with the Go-tech carbs......hopefully a little JB weld fixxes the problem...power should come up and temps should come down

Rocket42 12-22-2007 09:28 AM

kenshinmd the 2047 has bee working very good on the Go .25 and .28 it will improve top end over the jp-2.
