I know people prefer the Ofna header with the Dynamite pipe. Thats another 1 of them buy 2 to get what you want deals LOL. But the reasoning for that is only because of the reinforced stinger on the Dynamite pipe. But yes that header does actually perform better than the Dyn.

Hey everyone looking at a good buget engine to run in both my buggy and truggy I just picked up a used 3port race, and have a chance to get anouther. I know its a good buggy engine but how about for a truggy?

What truggy, if its a light 1 I would say go for it. But if its a older heavy model i would get a 5 port or get the 3 port modded specific for truggy. I have seen the 3 5 and 7 ports in truggy though that is just for me. My PTM 5 port was awesome in truggy and it was a heavy truggy too 8.5-9 mins on the track and would kill OS .28's and Jammin .28's down the straight. I am having trouble taming it down I just ordered a 5.5mm restricter the 6.5 is too big still. With that 5.5 in there i should get like 12.5 minutes I am guessing LOL but I can be alittle heavy on the throttle though.

Yes sir last year I ran a Cen Matrix Arena FRE I lightened the heck out of it but still wasnt light. I ran weekly against A guy with a Losi 1.0T with the OS .28 another guy with Jammin X1CRT Jammin .28 and on the straight If they were in front of me I caught them by the end of it and if I was in front of them I pulled away. Now not like they were standing still and shure clutch driver and other things come in to consideration but thats the way it went. I was runnin Mugen 1.1 springs and Mugen shoes with 8mm restricter mostly, some times a 7.5mm.

if your on a budget go with the 5port race stock is plenty for a truggy....i ran a PTM go .25 in a hyper st pro ....very good also but the 5port stock in my opinion is the best bang for the $ for a truggy put an 086pipe and if u truely need more punch on short tracks go down a tooth on clutch bell ....
if u wanna pay more, both are great modded motors

All 5 engines avail in the Go range ie 3 5 7 port .21 and 6 port .25 , .28 are great for truggy.
in my experience the 3 port R Spec has a rally feel if you like blipping the throttle.
5 port is a bit of a stump puller
7 port is a little more linear with a tad more top end
Advantage with .21 is tank time and not over powering the drive , less stress on the drive train .
25 and 28 are just brutal and maybe too much IMO
Advantage with .25 and .28 .... Um ... GRUUUNT ! lol
and ... MORE GRUNTT !!

Yes the .25 6 port race is awesome too kinda the best of both worlds. it gets awesome runtime almost as much as the .21's but way more torque. A friend of mine has 1 and ran it last year in the Hyper st also his was modded though and was just sick. The Hyper isnt the lightest trug either. The .28 I wouldnt even know what to do with, the .25 modded I have seen and I drove it a few times too is more powerful than any .28 i have ever seen. I used to run MT class too back in the day with my super tricked out AE MGT, if I still ran that I would have the .25 on there and have the runtime on my side. I think a modded 5 port .21 or stock even would work too.

Just restarted my break-in process on my 7 port after my mistake of letting it idle at a temp too cool.
Drove it around and kept the rpm's pretty low and the temps ranged from 195 to a high of 220. I went through 3 tanks like this and this has a very crisp response and sounds great with the dyn. plat. 053 pipe.
Eveytime I toutched the throttle it had a large plum of smoke being expelled from the exhaust. After each tank I leaned the LSH just a hair. This is going to be a bad mofo.

I agree LOL. It is the 7 port is too much for my area I want 1 I just wih I lived in AZ or CA where the tracks are huge and could use all the mill has to give. Hey where are you guys getting restricters smaller than the GO sets? I am looking for a 5.5 and a 6mm I ordered 1 but they just e-mailed me and dais that it was out of stock
