The 086 suits the 5 Port very well, giving great bottom end and reasonable top as well. If you were looking for another pipe I would get the GO FEMCA 0801, which also complements the 5 Port well.
I run a modded 5 Port with 0801 in my buggy. We have some tight sections on our track with jumps just out of corners etc and the 5 Port with this pipe handles it with ease, and thats running a 6.5 restrictor and softer clutch to calm it down a little.
You might like to run the 086 in the buggy and the 0801 in the truggy. The pipes are similar, but I think they would be better suited in this configuration going on previous experiance.
Enjoy those motors - you will be very pleased with Mark's work.

Thanks for the info, I kind of wanted to stick w/the 086 since I already run it on a Go 3-port so I'm happy to hear that it should do the trick.
And Grizz, If Mark's motors are as good as his customer service than these motors will be perfect. I'm looking foward to running them
Thanks again.

Hey Russel,
I've had trouble getting a new piston and sleeve for my 5 port. The shops here in Atlanta say it's pretty hard to get them. I even tried to get a new shop to get an account with you, but no luck. Is the 5 port discontinued

69er I definetly suggest getting the set they are at most like $15 and can do alot tone it down give more runtime ect ect. The stock is 8mm the set is 8,7.5,7,6.5 I use the 6.5 on my modded 5 port in my D8. They are just good to have.

My MM5 will be running it's second race tomorrow at Nuclear RC's seasone opener. Installed an O.S. Speed carb on it and it really makes this engine come alive. The MSN makes a big difference on the tune

I have ran RB carb and a GO and i will sy the RB is easier to work with for shure. But about the engine making more power and internals lasting longer IDK. I think that if you got 2 new mills 1 stock and 1 with X carb instead anything that would happen different would be that the person not having the best handle on tuning the GO carb thats it. I am better at Nova OS based carbs too but I am making it a point to use the stock carb on my newest mill because thats whats made for it so it should be the best for it. I have to say the only reason I even had gotten a RB carb was cause when heating my mill for break in I melted the stocker and I was able to get the RB for $20 off a buddy I was in a pinch and if that didnt happen I would have never ran another carb.
