Ok talked to Powerhouse and he is telling me that once he mods my 3 port race the 086 wont be the ideal choice for it because of the timing changes he will do the pipe isnt long enough. He said to get the 053 or 2035. He said it will work but temps and runtime will be better with the mid range pipe any thoughts? By no means am i questioning him because I have seen him make some tire shredders and is very innovative with his work. Just wondering if anyone else had a 3R modded and was told or did the same.

I would go for his advice, I've seen his thread and I'm very impressed with his work, if I ever get an engine modded I would choose him.

Well, I took the plunge. I ordered 2 Massive Mods Stage 5 Go 5-ports. Looking foward to seeing them in action.

I need to replace the P+S+CR on a 3p-R due to an unfortunate radio mishap. Should I go for the 7p or stick with the 3p now that amain has them in stock?

This is for an O'Donnell Z01-B on a GO 0801 pipe.

Well done. Break them in carefully using the heat cycle method. You won't be disappointed :) :sneaky:

If you like the smooth power of the 3 Port with the 0801, stick with it. If you would like more mid range power and a screaming top end, then fit the 7 Port sleeve. The 0801 is very nice on the 7 Port too, and will be fine unless you have a really open long track that requires all of the 7īs top end. Then I would recommend the 2047, maybe with the 0801 long header fitted to give you extra bottom end as well.
Ah - what to do ??? Nice problem to have though

If all goes as planned I'll have some vidz up on my YouTube channel on Monday

Our club track work day is Sunday and we're going to play for a bit once we're done working.

What do you think or have you tried the a JP3. I am running that on the 7p and the power is good but I don't have one of the recommended pipes that you guys are running to compare it to. Also what clutch set up are you guys running with the 7 or 5 port. I am running carbon shoes and 1.0 springs.

The TTR/AE 2035 pipe works great. JP-3 worked ok, not as well as the 2035 and don't laugh but I also ran a JP-1 on the 7PT and actually preferred that over the JP-3. Weather it was the short track, conditions or what the day I tested them that is just how I felt. Next combo I try is the 2035 with a short header or Mugen/MSR 1005. (both of those combos I've had great luck with on engines with simlar bore and stroke) TTR/AE 2035 is relatively inexpensive, if you get a chance pick one up and give it a try. MSR 1005 not so cheap but if you can find it, it's a good pipe.

I have run the Mugen Carbon shoes and thought they worked pretty decent. IMO the carbon TTR/AE shoes are ok too. Currently running the impulse hard shoes in most stuff and AE 1.0 springs.

I also ordered Mark's MRI Break in fluid so w/that and the heat cycle method hopefully all will go well. Want them to last a long time :)

I remember someone raving about the MRI Fluid a couple of pages ago and from the sound of it it's pretty awsome stuff. Can't wait for the season to start now
