Go engines do use the short Os style plug for the standard head motors. The std. plugs they sell are short and are the right ones. (last pretty well too) The Turbo head is common with most other brands. They just came out with some turbo plugs, they were not available before.

Right plug..... wrong discription.

I've had Go 5's and 6's and they were short.

ok im new to the hole nitro engines thing. not really new to the whole tunning process of them, but when it comes to running different shims under the button, how do you know how many to run? i am running a p3 plug in a GO .21 3 port and right now it has 2 brass shims and the 1 aluminum shim and i am running 30% byrons fuel.

also i just got a new piston/sleeve/conrod for it as it is about to go out here soon. will i be ok breaking in these new parts with 30% fuel? i cant find 20% anywhere. no one around my parts sells anything less than 30%

thanks for the help

The GO's come shimmed from the factory for 30% with the shims you described (2 x thin brass and 1 x thick aluminum).

It won't hurt to run your motor in on 30%, just take it easy. It's better to run the motor in on the fuel it will be using under normal race conditions, rather than change fuels later.

the stinger looks a little long to be a 053, i dont own the other 2 so idk but i dont think its a 053 BUT you need to do somethin with the fix between the header and exhaust

mbx5rcr34 02-26-2009 01:50 AM

it looks like 053 pipe but different header .............

zJatoRad 02-26-2009 10:15 AM

yeah the pipe itself looks like a 053.

Plans for the races this weekend.

Current Setup:

GO 3-port sport w/ JP-3 running Nitro Juice 30%.

Tomorrow I'm going to replace the JP-3 with a Dynamite 007, tune on the 30%. I only have 1/2 gallon of 30% left so I'm going to gauge performance and fuel economy based on the pipe being the only thing changed. When the 30% is gone I'm switching to Rocket Science 25% and sticking with it.

New Setup:
GO 3-port sport w/ Dynamite 007 running Rocket Science 25%. Since I'm changing the fuel from 30% to 25% on race day what do you lot think I'll need to do to get the tune right? What do you normally need to do when changing nitro content?

zJatoRad 02-26-2009 11:35 AM

isn't the 007 a low end pipe? the 3 port sport has good low end so I'm not sure if you really want to use that pipe, but just try it and see what it does.

I used to run Rocket Science a while back but didn't like it too much.

The motor is in an 8ight-T so I'll take as much low end as I can get. Our track is tight and technical, not any real long runs on it so top speed isn't important. Well I got two gallons of Rocket Science, if I don't like it for whatever reason I'll switch back to Nitro Juice. This is why I run $99 engines, I like to experiment.

malik 02-26-2009 12:31 PM

That pipe looks like an 053 but the Dynamite pipes I have have the reinforced stinger. Never seen 1 like that, nor have I seen a header like that. How is that set up working on the 5 port. I use the 086 on mine and wont even try anything else.

zJatoRad 02-26-2009 12:59 PM

sounds good rearviewmirror, let us know how it performs with the pipe.

malik: I think it's one of the older Dynamite pipes, before the ones with the reinforced stinger came out

vyt666 02-26-2009 01:14 PM

actually when i installed it on the 5pt and test it,i've noticed great top end and massive bottom end but fuel consumption is a bit horrible.maybe i should change to a 150cc mugen tank.
