Hi nitro0619, sounds like you have it sorted. Those choclate coloured bottom carb O rings do wear a bit. I am picking when it came out it was sort of squashed and shredded ?
The new washer and sealant will do the job. Just check your throttle and brake linkages and settings, particularly the linkage springs and throttle return spring if you run one. If there is too much tension on these springs it puts a lot of side strain on the carb body (especially during braking)and may be the cause of the wear on the O ring and eventually the carb movement. I prefer to run a couple of soft silicone throttle return bands instaed of a spring for this reason.

Thanks grizz for the info. I would still be using the 2047 (since this is the one i have ) One more thing, i have trouble choosing between a GO .25 6 port with 0801 pipe and OS Engine .28XZ with 2060SC tuned pipe.. i'll be putting it in my CEN Matrix TR. Any input would be most appreciated.

I am running a 5 port .21 turbo in my Cen Matrix TR Arena and I couldn't be happier. It has tons of torque, good top end and great run times

I'm not familiar with the .25 6 Port, but a lot of the guys on this forum run them and say they are the ultimate truggy engine. I used to run a 5 Port Turbo and 086 Pipe in a truggy and was more than happy with the power of the 5 Port.
But wait - Treat yourself to a Massive Mods Gen 5 Stage 5 modded 5 Port and you will be very impressed. Power and ecomony like you wouldn't believe. That's what I am running in my buggy and it's very wicked

JNC it would be hard to get a accurate comparison about which engine is better in this thread, most people in here have probably never run an o.s. .28, I do not that the Go combo will leave you with more money to spend on tires and fuel for practice which will make you faster than any engine can.

Hey guys, rebuilding my Losi truggy, decided for definite sure that im going to put the Go .25 5port in it. What i want to know is, which pipe. I love the looks of the Jammin' pipes (like there is radical differences haha) but is it the BEST for performance.

Thats true , you need to consider rebuild parts as well. The OS Piston Rod and Sleeve will run you over 180 USD thats about 20 bucks away from the cost of an entire Go Engine

I had an OS 28xz in my truggy and it was a pig of a thing.
I had to replace the carby straight up, it was faulty from the factory. It had a lot of slop in the rod at 1 and a half gallons (6 litres). Would not hold a tune.
In the end the crank shaft snapped at the flywheel. That was the last straw, I was not throwing any more money at it.

I know some people swear by them and dont have trouble. I dont know if I got one from a bad batch but there were a few guys having trouble at my club with the 1st batch of engines.
It has put me off OS engines for life.
MassiveMods is right about the OS rebuild costs, I think they are just too expensive and not robust enough.
Where the internals of a GO look thick and strong.

I put a .25 Go in and a 0801 pipe and love it.
Great fuel economy plenty of power to push a heavy Hyper ST Pro around the track.
I have had 2 and a half gallons (10 litres) of trouble free reliable running.
Can easily get 8 mins run time in a truggy, never tried but probably could get close to 9.5 mins with a smaller carb insert.

im running go .25 6 port i have the the go 0801 pipe and works very nice lots of bottom end still and now puts some nice top end out. i have used jp3 on it and worked pretty good but not as good as the go 0801 thnx will g

Hey guys. I've bought a second hand GoTech 7 port (Gen4 I believe) to run in my D8 for a while. I had a mate that races them take a look at it for me and he thinks that the rear bearing is just about stuffed. My question is this, if I am going to replace this bearing and make sure its running well is there anything else I should get done while I am at it?

I think of all the go engines the 5 port .21 is best for truck. It puts down good power and gets decent runtime. Although I don;t run them now I was just helping a guy on another thread and found this:
