I received my 5 port turbo yesterday and an Odonnel head, how many shims should I use for 30% break in? I kept the at the moment I have all of the shims installed. I am waiting on my 2047 pipe from Korea, then I can begin break in. Just curious on the shims, cos the instructions that come with the head say for a P5x use only 1 shim, but I have read here for the GO you should use all 3.

I have both the 086 and 053 but so far I have run nothing but the 086. I cant really complain my 5 port has really good power from bottom to top. I may slip out to one of my local tracks tomorrow and try the 053.

I typed big post about about os 2050/2060 to answer your post.I`m not gonns type it again,I guess it didn`t get posted for some weird reason
I run a 2060 on my 5 port and love it....It still has gobs of torq but it open up something ferce on the top end......Run time is really good I`m getting something like 7-9 minutes. Now if you are to go with the 2050 your gonna get a lot of bottom end and even better run time......Some of the guys at my track have switched to 2050 to get more run time.....but there not as fast as me down the back straight
..........I run the 2060/GO 5 port and was out pulling a OS eb mod V spec out of the turns and down the straights

According to ebmods dyno the 2050 and 2060 on the 5port were pretty equal to the 086, 053. That doesn't take into account mileage. The main difference between the 053 and 086 is the 086 is a top end pipe and the 053 is a midrange pipe. Most people prefer the 086 on the 5port since it already has a lot of torque, but some people do run the 053 on a 5port in truggy. According to the dyno when it comes to the 5port you really shouldn't see huge differences between the pipes. To be fair the thin wall of the o.s. pipes would see a good improvement over the thicker walled cheaper pipes, i.e. (dynamite, ofna) but not as much of an improvement over the more expensive 086, 053 i.e. (novarossi, werks)
