I'm running a 7 Port with turbo head HN 2047 pipe standard manifold novarossi cold plug 7mm restrictor in a losi 8t and I'm getting between 9 mins (heavy on the trigger or loose surface) to 12.5 min the TTR2035 pipe set was also a good combo but run time was slightly less

I'm still on the original internals at the 30 ltr (about 7.5 gallons) mark
it's about to be stripped down for new bearings conrod and maybe a pinch for good luck, even though the compression is still really good.

so anyone that tells you these are a throw away motors obviously hasn't own 1 themselves

Got my new PSR break in finished last night and in race tune. I used the Drake method as shown in the Nov. Xtreme RC Cars magazine.

It was my first time back indoors at Leisure Hours Racesway in Joliet, IL. after a long outdoor season throughout the Midwest. I forgot how much I love the massive traction and how clean the buggy stays.

I was also reminded why I love the Go Tech 5 port so much! This motor makes my Losi 8 leap with the grace of a gazelle on the relatively tight indoor track. It is not intimidated by any motor whatsoever. No one pulled me one the 110' straight except a JP Modded v-spec-and not by much.

While I will miss the great outdoors I can take solice in the fact that I've got a little ray of sunshine come race day in the Go 5 port. :nod:

Hey Russ Thanks again for the help with my engine. Also are there any plans on making a turbo head button for the 6 port .28 motor? I've developed a fondness for turbo engines, and I'd like to try a .28 in my 8T.

I also really like the turbo heads, I have discussed it multiple times with the factory and they said that they have also gotten other request so it may be in the works before too long.

I am sure as long as you check the deck ht. any 4 bolt .28 turbo head button will work.

Russell, is Go going to make a .12 racing engine non pull start???? if so i would like one for my CRT.5...

There is no plans at this time to make a .12, sorry. They do have a .18 pullstart you could always pull the pullstart off and put that in your .5

5 port, or 7 port that is my ? is jp3 a good pipe?...i've had jp v specs, i like lots of power.. i currently am running a hot mods 367 novarossi...i'm just tired if spending 500+ on engines..it just seems like a lotta money wasted..are these engines up to par?? i got a RC8...& i like power... so help me decide on the 5 or 7.. turbo head or does it really make a sh**:D

I would say go with the 7port because you are used to v-specs and 357 novarossi which are smoother powerband engines. The 5port may be to much down low than what your used to. The JP-3 is not a good pipe for the Go engines. For the 7port you will want a 053 or 2047. The Turbo button is a necessity to get the most power out of the engines, there are times I throw the standard button on just to make it easier to drive on small technical tracks.

You will have plenty of power with the Go engines.

does go make a bump start back plate for the .18???

Just tried a 7 port Go with around 1.5G on it.
Not much power down low and good top end.
I personally wouldn't use it in a buggy or truggy.I'm used to V-spec power and on the 7 port it just isn't enough.
I used it with 1.1 clutch springs and JP-1 exhaust and didn't like the bottom end at all.
I don't know how the 5 port will perform but i will try it out soon.

JP-1 isn't really the right pipe for the engine but it still should have good low end, what was it temping. It sounds like the tune may be off.
