richen the HSN and the LSN 1 hour, you want the temps to be in the 220-230 range, If there is still metal pinch in the engine it will want to run 260-270, but just richen it and try and get the temps down and be patient for the pinch to go away.

I got a chance to go to the track today, finally.I didn`t add another shim because I didn`t get any extra and my lhs shop didn`t have any .21 shims in stock.I started to retune froim factory setting`s.I got the engine running right around 200 and left the HSN alone, then I gave it a 2 hour turn on the bottom so it would be so boggy.I`m gonna leave where it is at untill I get more fuel through it.PLus the track I went to was real small and the track I race on is hugh.I figured 200 temp is good because when I get on the bigger track my emps are gonna rise a we bit because it a full throttle kinda track..

Thanks for everyones help

Sorry guys, another 3 port question. I have a choice of the following pipes 053, 086, TT 2035, or TT 2039. Which one would be best suited for the 3 port overall? Thanks for you help in advance!

Rocket42 10-21-2007 06:55 PM

Never tested the TT pipes but the 086 would be better than the 053

Has anybody used the clutch/flywheel set up that comes with the RC8 on thier Go Tech? I'm just wondering if there are any issues with doing that because I am going to be ordering a 5 port this weekend for my RC8 and I plan to use the flywheel and clutch shoes that come with it. If I remember correctly the clutch is a 3 shoe set up.

Ofna Alloy shoes, blue, 1.1mm springs
Hobao flywheel.
OS 2050 pipe
5 port.

-----

JP2 pipe would be good on a 7 port.

I ran the 5 port turbo with the RC8 clutch setup straight out of the box with the 16 tooth clutch bell. Ran good.

I finished 2nd and a Go Tech team driver finished 3rd. This was at a competitive race with about 40 cars in pro buggy. I ran the dynamite 053 and he ran 086. At about the same running temps he got about 2 more mins to a tank on a 8eight, so I am going to try 086 to see if my mileage improves.

He could go 10 mins to a tank which is awesome.

^very good info. thank you!
I'm going to be looking for a pipe too and I have been partial to the Dynamites based on price alone lol so you helped out in that department as well.

I can't wait to get a good powerplant in this buggy and push it to its full potential.

Rocket42 10-22-2007 09:54 AM

the dynamite pipes are very good, I reccomend a 053 for the 7port and a 086 for the 5port, Also Go is realeasing there own pipe very soon, it is a 2047 and is mfgr'd by hong nor, so it has the same type of stinger as a Jammin pipe.

Nitro Junkie, a novarossi turbo head button should fit as well as any 4 bolt pattern .21 head button. If you use a different mfgr. you will have to check your deck ht. and make sure its set right. You would be starting from scratch with how many shims should be required.

I love it when great products are very affordable (Go Tech's engines and Dynamite's pipes.) My wife loves it more.

satoch 10-22-2007 10:47 AM

There's never been any talk of using a 2047 pipe on the 5 or 7 port as best I recall. Why was this one chosen?
