Or the .25 it a beast thats in a bad mood:nod: LOL

Does the .25 durn as much nitro as the .28 so noticeable that I should stick with a .21? One more question should I go for turbo or standard plug.

mugenb46 02-18-2008 07:37 AM

the .25 vand .28 have no turbo yet, the .28 may burn more and the .25 gets as good as a .21, the 25 is turning out to be the alternative to a .28, i have seen them in action, i have one going in my truggy.

I finally have everything for my Jammin X1-CR except an engine. Being that I am just starting out in nitro I figured to get something cheap that someone pulled from an RTR car and run it until it died on me. However, I am also looking at the OS $150 engine (.21VG) but was wondering if maybe I should just pony up the extra $50 for the Go tech?

the track that I would be on in the winter is really tight and small, but the summer track seems to be quite a bit larger. if anyone knows the Medina R/C track just south of Cleveland, that is the one I am speaking of.

Anyway, if I monitored temps as I should, ran 30% fuel, and heated up the engine before running, is there any reason that I should be worried about destroying it? (a Go-Tech) Also, which would you guys recommend for a Jammin buggy? I was originally just going to go with teh Go 3 port standard version, but the 5 port and 7 port seem like they should run a lot better. Is there a newer 3 port that I should look at? Any help would be appreciated.

i don't start looking at runtimes intill breakin and full seating is over, normally about a gallon of running with easy race tune.

Just to let you guys know, Chris ran my 5 port this weekend that has about 2 gallons on it, and after a warm up lap, 5 minute heat, and the cool down lap, he was coming back with half of a tank left, very impressive. He could have pitted at the 10 minute mark but with this race being 45 minutes it was not beneficial to push it.

He was leading when something caused it to flame over the big jump upon landing, which was the first flame that motor has ever seen. It may have been caused by something getting into the flywheel upon the flat landing.

Are the tracks indoor and outdoor med bite or high or loamy, GO has a new Race Spec 3 port, it's a good motor. I'm running it know, but if you think more bottom is needed or thats what you like the 5 port is the ticket, if you like smooth linier bottom the 3 and 7 ports are good for that style, the 7 port will have more top than any of them, which it's hard using all the top it puts out, so i always recommend the 3 or 5 for buggy, but if your tracks are loose and loamy, the 7 is very smooth like the 3. An 053 is good on the 7 ports, and a 086, 2047, 053 works good on the 3 and 5. Hope this helps
