Tell me about it.. I kicked myself in the ass for selling mine, after running the exact motor I sold (Go 7 port) in a 2 hour enduro race in a friends car..... And now getting back into it (yet again!!)... the go is on my short list.

I had some tuning isses that I didnt have the patience to work through (bad mental state, state series going on, being an idiot), and sold it... :flaming:

It was such a strong motor for the entire 2 hours, and was pitting at 225, and came off at 240 (bone dry tank) and the end.

HAHAHAHA you make more come backs then Rocky!:lol::lol:

great to hear it cant wait for the next two hour or longer race.

Well, the outdoor season is over here so i have started to clean everything up including my GO .21 5P. Its on my work bench in parts and i think everything looks ok, i did notice a few races back there have been alot of dirt build up at the front of the engine which i assume is a leaking front bearing ?

Now, the question is, is it worth it to replace both bearings, o-rings and maybe even piston, sleve and connecting rod or should i just get a new engine for the next season ?

How about just getting the sleve pinched ? Ive been looking around on prices for parts, and if i replace things to get my engine back to " new " its almost as much as buying a completely new engine, so whats your opinion ?

When its time for a rebuild I just buy a new engine........When I get more cash and get bored I will rebuild the old engine and use it for a back up

Ok guys I need a little help here. I am looking into to Go Tech 7port motor and want some feedback on it. Once modified will it have close if not more power then my modded RB WS7II? I know that I am probably going to get a bias answer on this but I would really appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks
Marcus

I have a nice Go Tech 7 port for sale in the for sale forum. I put a Novarossi carb and King Headz cooling head on it.

3/4 gallon and as you who have them know, it's not broken in yet.

Also available with a 053 Werks pipe in good condition.

PM me for pictures. Chad

Swede how many gallons have you run thru the engine, If the compression is still good I would just throw some fresh ceramic bearings in it. If it has had a few gallons thru it, I would say pick up a spare piston and sleeve to use as a replacement halfway thru next season.

Black the Go enginge will perform better than the RB

+1, the 7 port modded is very responsive on the bottom but still smooth, and with the 053 or a OS pipe they will hit solid on the mid to top, i have always ran the GO 5 in buggy, but the 7 has plenty for truggy as well, so if it moves those well it's a very solid buggy motor for sure, when you go to the smaller insert on the carb your runtime will go up as well with out noticing a loss is power, very good mills.

I would say 5 gallons maybe, and the compression, well, its not like when it was new, but it still idles and runs good, so i guess its not to bad, but its pretty easy to turn the flywheel over, so, i dont know.

I was thinking about getting the turbo button for it, but i dont know if its worth it ? and where do they have parts in stock for the GO ? the places i have looked is all out of stock :weird:

mugenb46 10-04-2007 03:53 PM

what do you have? 5 or 7 port. A Main has P/S/R sets for the 7 ports but not the 5 if all you need is a rod i have a new on in the bag.
