Oops, my apologies! I resized the image to 1024 pixels in width, not thinking about some lower resolutions.

And thank you for the complement I've had this body sitting around for a couple of months, thinking about what I wanted to do with it. Not quite the BMW blue that I love (example), but pretty close. And I didn't go too nuts with the stickers either

Hey since there is a meeting coming up can someone maybe bring up the idea of changing the specs tires. Sweeps suck and I was thinking why don't we have brett sisley be our source for tires . I don't really feel like buying a new set of sweeps every race just for a club race. It was just a thought and was seeing if we could maybe do something about it when there is still time.

Used tires are fine in stock. So if there is a tire discussion, it should only be for mod.

Wasn't Mod pretty much any 32 shore tire?

Hey Ryan,

Mod TC allowed only three choices. Sweep QTS , Jaco Blue, and Solaris Medium.

last seasons Mod rules :

Modified Touring: 1/10th scale 4wd touring chassis. 1380g minimum weight. 5mm minimum ride height. Any ROAR-approved 540-size motor brushless motor. Big race spec tires: Sweep QTS 32, Solaris Mediums, Jaco Blues. ROAR-approved touring car bodies. Maximum 6-cell NiMH or NiCd batteries or maximum 7.4v 2s lithium technology batteries. Batteries must be on ROAR-approved list. This class for advanced onroad racers only.

http://seattlercracers.com/specsrules/

For me the Jaco actually lasted the longest and had good performance but Sweep QTS had an edge when new... at least in mod. Jaco can be a little inconsistent from set to set... and you have to check the bead for gluing imperfections often.

I wish the Team Powers 32 was an option but the tires don't have anything to verify whether they are 28, 32, 34, 36 on the sidewall.

I just wish the wheels weren't so brittle. I'm also not much of a fan for a single spec tire for club races.

And what with all the bugery going on I can see why that would be a problem

If ya can't trust each other then whats the point. And why not just say lets use this brand.. everyone knows its a better tire(s)

Isn't most of the carpet racing here done based on trust? I haven't seen motor bearings being inspected nor anything like that, and voltages and weights were only checked at the Emerald Classic. With no money on the line, I really do trust everyone to be honest in the spirit of the sport

Cool

Hi guys,
Last year us Canadians at OverGeared enjoyed racing with you guys so much that this year we have arranged our Schedule opposite of yours. Therfore you will be seeing us more often possibly in larger numbers. We have also arranged our rules to be more inline with the Seattle R/C racers in order to try to encourage the Can-Am comrade. Last year there was interest expressed of wanting to come and race with us. With the opposing Schedules here is your chance to join us for our Point Series...

Pm me if you have any questions...

OGR 13/14 Schedule has been released.

Info can be found here

http://www.rctech.net/forum/canadian...chmond-bc.html

The board has decided that if you are an out of town (Out of the Lower Mainland) driver we are offering a special rate of $20 per person.
Unlimited Classes.... Let us know when you're registering.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

That's a good looking schedule, Ryan. We'll make an effort to get up there this season. It's been nice having the Vancouver racers visit these past several years
