Thanks Mike.
Yeah, I've stepped into (I don't know about 'up' yet ) mod after a couple years off and its an eye opener. Frustratingly speaking, lol.
The A700 might be seeing double duty, VTA and/or Scale Spec.

At the hanger Scale Spec includes VTA*. GT style and VTA style so far have the same speed potential. In fact, between Phil Gibson and Jeff Kuney, I'd have to say VTA has more race wins than GT style, despite Jesse's, Franko's, Bill's, and my best efforts.

* Scale Spec/VTA is 100g lighter than USVTA, with no driver figure, and possibly more allowed blinky speedos.

Speaking of Scale Spec, I have two questions for the comp committee:

1) Running VTA tires with a GT-style body? There was some of that last season. The current rules don't mention any restriction, and I don't see any reason not to allow it, but I'm curious.

2) Jacob's got a totally sweet-looking Atomic VM-II LIPO car (see the wiring installation thread in the on-road section). It's basically a mini-sized full-on carbon chassis 4wd touring car. It uses full-size battery, ESC, and motor. Any thoughts on legality? It's price-point-appropriate, but I do have some concerns that low CG, 4wd, and open Mini tires could result in a substantial speed advantage. But the spirit of the class is inclusion, so it'd be cool to work out a spec for it to run.

Cool. Thanks Mike. I have tires and bodies for both classes so I guess I'll bring both.

Asphalt is used to make race tracks, which is where people race cars, onroad. Onroad racing in the summer at the RC scale happens on carpet. I've seen Spiderman walk on carpet. So that means yes, Jeff is going to race

I think most people get them from Kody onsite, his username here is "Kody". I'm assuming he'll continue to be the supplier.

Yes, you certainly do.

Since I don't think anyone will ever buy my two now-unused Schumacher chassis, I've been thinking about picking up some extra electronics to turn them into scale spec loaners.
