They used to run them at rain city and it was pretty fun to watch, the tires are about the same size as wgt, they actually handled decent too!

Although it would be fun I don't honestly see myself putting one together lol

Damn, can't make the meeting tonight, either. I'm under house arrest (family in town, leaving tomorrow, dinner obligations >_<).

Last minute change in plans on tonight's meeting. A tree fell on the power lines at the Wedgewood Broiler, which is now closed for the evening. We're meeting down the street North about 10 blocks at Wong's Grill.

My brilliant plan to have a candlelight dinner with Rob Swan and Kyle Bradshaw worked!

Default 2013/2014 Specs and Rules

First, I would like to extend a big thank you to the members of the Comp Committee who spent many, many hours over the summer going back and forth over the rules. Even the seemingly minor tweaks that are introduced come only after exhaustive debate. Frankly, these guys aren't paid enough for what they do (actually, they aren't paid at all! So, say thanks when you can. They spend their own time to do it!)

I will highlight only a couple of the significant items here.

First, all of our race classes are now "fixed" classes. We have gone away from the 5-to-run model as applied to our option classes. It is our belief that the hard work of choosing classes should be conducted in committee, leaving the racer confident that if a class is on the list, and he or she makes the investment to run it, it will have a home. We of course hope that all classes run full heats on every night. We would not include a class that we do not believe has the potential to perform throughout the season.

Wednesday H30 Classes:
Stock Touring
Stock 1/12th
Scale Spec
World GT
Novice

Saturday Gym Classes
Stock Touring
Modified Touring
Stock 1/12th
Modified 1/12th
Scale Spec
Formula 1
World GT
Novice

Pit towels or mats are mandatory for all racers. The Seattle Parks Department, and ultimately Seattle's tax payers, are providing us with tables and chairs for our use. The least we can do is take care of them.

We are limiting our traction compound to two flavors: SXT 3.0 and Jack the Gripper.

The full sheet is attached, or you can find it at the club's website: http://seattlercracers.com/specsrules/

We look forward to a great season at Magnuson Park!

The Monday meeting and rather lengthy F1 discussion really got me interested in trying that class. I'm trying to wrap my head around what it takes to get an F1 chassis together and I have two questions for current F1 owners in regard to our track/rules:

1. Which F1 tires are recommended? I know rubber, but it seems there are a lot of options. What works on our carpet?

2. What bodies and front/rear wings do we prefer? I'm eyeing the SpeedPassion SP-1, but I don't believe it comes with a body or any wings.

TQRC carries a lot of F1 things, but still, the selection is pretty big.

Looking to increase the F1 class by 1

So by stating "ROAR-approved 17.5t brushless motors" is one to assume any 17.5 on the list regardless of "color"??

Good catch, Mr. Logi Maker.

No, the Trinity D3.5 17.5 and all tuner variants is banned from competition at our club racing venues.

why are D3.5 still banned from the hanger if your going by Roar rules? that just doesn't make any sense if your going to base everything on roar rules then you need to confirm to the approved motors.

Sr,

I think it's because it will be banned again from the roar list before the season ends.

I believe Todd had said something like they got banned, people dumped them and felt that since they will be banned again he didnt want people to go out and buy more. .... although they are quite cheap on the used market... I got one prior to the reapproval for $26 shipped and had an opportunity to get 2 more for $20 each after..

Something like that...

Im sure Mark woukd be a better source of info, but Pit Shimizu 571 fronts and 572 rears are usually always a safe way to go. They mount on the tamiya foam wheels (even though they are rubber)

Tamiya F60 and Tamiya F2012 are both different Ferrari bodies, but there are really cool decal sets available to make a replica of your favorite F1 team. I prefer the fit of the F60 most, but the F2012 is more current to the modern F1 car (step nose).

All the things I mentioned above are available our friend Dan at Speedwerkes .
