Try this,
If motor is still prety new, put head shim to 0.35, 0.36 or so. Also the hotter plug, No:5 should also help.
Try putting a little 'Negative expo' on the throttle. Say 10%. (It all helps)
What can also help is setting the pressure line 3 times the length of the fuel line. Aswell as getting a more even pressure at the tank it can also help with fuel fuel efficiency.
Also, as pointed out. Make sure your car is not changing up to second too early as this makes the clutch slip and wastes fuel !

Hope this helps you and congratulation Gansei on your win sir !!

thanks for your reply..

Do Back pressure chamber help to increase fuel consumption?

I've never had fuel consumption issues with my CRF and I have a pressure chamber installed on my G4S which, in a way, regulates pulsed pressure coming from exhaust. BTW, I see you put a rubber band for throttle return but CRF has a very strong spring for this job in carburettor boot. Your throttle servo drains too much amp IMO.

i removed CRF carb spring.. it is very hard.. it could kill the throttle servo.

so i changed rubber band..

I have agree the key to the CRF is definately the clutch.
Also we found they dont want run properly if tuned conventionally to 100deg/c, they like 110/115 deg/c.
Note though we have run them on 16% nitro so cant compare to 25%/30%
if not using the Orion clutch we used the G4S black clutch as the red one seemed to slip too much.

Gansei search back a couple of months there was a lot of CRF clutch info shared on thsi thread.
What ever i had on my pc was lost since i had my hard drive crash on my laptop and desk top.

OK Gansei.. I run my CRF 2007 around 120-124 centigrade with %16 fuel and never had any problems. I use k factory black clutch spring but as you stated before it deformed and I've just received Orion square spring and will try it.

if you want more corner-in..

change the front speed bulk cover to plastic parts

i like more plastic parts than aluminum one.

good luck to Kodak Hodak..

cheers gansei - currently i have new diff in front - before i had spool but i do like the diff as its smoother to drive with 50,000 diff oil and 10,000 diff oil rear!!!

wheel base is reduced in the rear via 1.5mm shorter arms - but this also includes the new improved G4+ flywings front and rear

overal wheel base is now: 254-256 vary on caster front settings

wheel base rear 199
wheel base front 197

i had a few problems again with Spectrum radio in engine break in - had glitch and runaway at low speed broke front bulhead

Again this weekend i will do one more test before we drive 8 hours to the event next week....

this event will be just a taste of what real competition is about, i guess expect nothing and luck might get me somewhere in top 20.... but i think it will a big ask....

i shall have full report once i get back!

As for setup i guess the prac days leading to the event will be critical

diff out drives can also use K14125, but you still need the shim and O Ring set ( Dont you Frankie ? )

Thanks Paul. I never drove with a diff before. Should be a good change to have 4wd brakes.
