The gearing between the front and rear wheels is not exactly the same. This slight difference causes a little more stress on the front belt. Periodically inspect the belts. Look for teeth that are missing or wearing out and replace them when you can see this. Also I would inspect the pulleys as they will eventually wear as well. When worn, they will wear the belts faster.

Iam pretty sure the front to rear gear ratio is the same on the mtx-3 2.5263
i think the front one way has a lot more to do with front belt wear
and also hitting anything on power will useually strip a belt or fatigue it , as the front cant diff out like the rear something has to give just my .02

the mugen pack is 730ma. I made one out of 850ma batteries. GP has a 950ma AAA battery and I have seen another brand that has 1000ma batts. If you don't want the mugen pack, just make one yourself.

i too made one myself ( actually ask a friend to solder it for me..my soldering is awful )

Re: Re: ROll Center
I think it makes more sense now. Thanks cdelong for your time on this. Its amazing why no one has responded till now on something so essential for knowledge, and rather focus on listing parts for building a diff.
Understand now why MyTSN is the reference point for many rc racers and essentially adding to Serpent's reputation. It's a shame we do not have something similar going for Mugen, when it is in fact a very competitive car. Hope they read this.

The pro's only mention that the "A" block lower the RC, and not WHY they lower the roll center. The one thing we need to realize is that there is more than one thing drivers are trying to accomplish. I've been on the Mugen forum, and it seems that the "A" blocks (low roll center= more roll) are used when bite is high to add some laziness to the car and to prevent traction rolling. If the car will not roll on the suspension a little, it will just traction roll if the bite is high. Swauger mentioned that the blocks will also change the shock angle slightly (A= more laid down).
Just push the "I believe" button and do what the big dog's do= high bite = Low roll center.

I have tested rear C block vs A block :
Using C block the car doesn't roll too much, the rear tires slide little bit in medium and tight corners. More aggressive feeling.
Using A block the car does roll ( I can see the body leans at corners ). I get mid corner understeer, but up to certain point it will slide too if you push too hard.
I suggest C steering ackerman when using C rear block.

energizer makes the 1000mah aa batteries, you could make one yourself but i prefer the trinity 800mah hump which costs 20, in the end you´ll pay even more since you´ll need the connector, copper bars, shrinkwrap, etc

If you check out the website you'll notice that we are now updating it daily, our goal is to improve the information needed to enhance the performance of your car.
MyTSN is a private website disign to support whom ever they choose. I think its really cool when a out side source shows that much intrest in a company to do that.
