Mugen MTX-3

small track you may want 30K. I think 50K is good for large tracks with good traction.
Any suggestions on sites I can go to to learn more on the MTX3 I have been driving a NTC3 that last 4 years and someone gave me there MTX3 last winter. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet and I am trying to figure out how to set it up. Basically what I am looking for is a MTX3 setup sheet. If I do this to the car this will happen. It is amazing to me the manuel has no instructions and the website only has setup sheets. I have never had a car with bump stop screws what do those do? Where are the front droop screws I can't find them.
The front droop screws are located on the front sway bar mount. You access them from the two small holes on the front body mount. The rear droop screws are located on the rear arms obviously. You access them from the top as well. THey can be found on the rear arms where those little "tabs" (< >) stick out from the side chassis. Bump stops limit how far the car will travel when pushed down. I've never used em. I don't think they're intended for foam tire use. I think it's for Rubbers, but i'm nost sure. None of the foam setups i've seen ever use em. I agree, the manual is tereible on the car in terms of what does what. Check out the X-Ray or MyTSN sites for explanations on how to use the adjustments, they're pretty similar. Good luck.

I ran 30K at a tack with good traction and nice size. It helps alot. I had 10k and could tell the difference. 30k was better for me.
Thanks gonzoY5 the Mytsn site has some good info. It almost has me sold on a Serpent now. I got to try the Mugen out first it is such a nice looking kit just wierd they don't put more effort into explaining setups for this car.
Yeah that's one thing Mugen lacks. They make a great car, but if you don't know where to find the adjustments, their documentation sure won't tell you.

The Kawahara solid diff will work in the front, the only place I ever used it was The Texas Biggie!
MTX-3 Noob
Hi guys,
Sorry if this may seem repetitious, but I just got a MTX-3 (non Prospec) and will be running in a rubber tire class. Given that I have the correct choice of tires, what will be a good set up for a medium size track with tight turns and switch-backs in the infield (track is a cleaned/blown hardly used parking lot, smooth, with medium traction, and no traction additive layed down).
Right now I am using a front diff with 30k, rear diff with 7k. I would like to know (with your suggested set -ups) diff fluid selection, mugen spring color or spring rate, shock fluid wt., droop, and ride height settings, camber/caster/toe settings,....and what ever you guys could help me with.
I know it sounds alot to ask, but any help with a rubber tire setup for my new MTX-3 would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to know that same info as StepPins I am running at a similar track setup and it would greatly help us both.
