just as a question...

what kind of aluminum upgrades would you guys like to see for the MTX-3...if there is such a thing as an upgrade for the MTX-3.

I'm just trying to gather some information as an associate of mine will start to machine mtx-3 aluminum parts if there's even a demand for it...

Kawahara make lots of good quality parts for MTX3, here's the chassis on my nearly 2 year old car.

Like this?

yeah, but instead move the body post forward so the post will go thru the hood instead of the windshield:)

i have the same chassis (4mm) on my mugen and I like it much. I used to have the mugen 4mm chassis and i think i like the kawahara one more.

Hey guys,

Quick Question. I just put it a set of mugen universal's on my MTX- 3 so i can finally make my track width wider.
So i have the front set to 200mm and they seem ok. i haven't driven the car yet so not sure but they look fine.

The problem is with the rear's. The rear track is also now set to 200mm but the dog bones seem to barely reach the diff. Why are they so short? It seems that i need to bring the track width back to 196 for them to fit. WTF? Has anyone had this problem?
What do i do?

one piece solid front or rear axle with adaptor to use original diff outdrive.

offset mid shaft bearing block. this should be able to tighten the front belt a bit.

i have yet to break a shock tower:tire: :tire:
which brand was your front shock tower that omits the upper shock mounting holes?? the one that is "shorter" than the stock when you view it from the side

Just going there for business Manti. I'll let you know. Might be there at the end of May. We'll have to wait and see.
