Tekrsq,

You have PM with the correct number. The fix for the front shocks worked great. See Ya Sunday.

What wt oil should I use with this? It was given to me by a friend and I need to rebuild it. He says he used grease. Can I use oil?

it is basically a normal diff with a clutch
sure you can use silicon oil in the diff case, but not on the clutch

Default Mugen MTX-3 thread search...??

How do I search only this thread? When I do a basic search concerning the mtx3 I get this thread as a result, however it does not give me a specific page within this thread. Seeing as there are 300 pages plus it's not to helpful. I thought I remember seeing a search box for the thread at the bottom of the page in the past. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Well for starters you have part of the right name !

When searching make sure you select "Show results as posts" rather then "Show results as threads". Just select the nitro onroad forum with the above option and you should be ok.

I wouldnt use oil, I use negative diff on my MTX2 and MTX3, grease works really good especially if you can find Racer's Choice high temp lube!

dont need any maintinance at all, just once, repack it after like 10 tanks from the day you start using it!

Know who stocks that lube? Elite? Don't you race at Crystal Park? I think I may have seen your car. Sounds familiar. I'm the newbie with the twin brother.

Has anybody else noticed how much camber rise there is in the rear end with the stock setup? Also, has anybody noticed that when you put your car on a Integy setup tool or similar, and you adjust your steering throw from left to right that the inside wheel gains more caster as the steers from left to right? This seems to be associated with bump-steer. Anybody have suggestions or ideas?

I believe that where your Ackerman settings & rear roll center plates come into play.

if you don't want that much camber gain on the rear.
you could go to the inner hole for the link on the tower
and take out the shims on the rear uprights.

for the steering ackerman A will give you more toe change. b less
and C having the least toe change. C will give the most initial
steering and A will give the most coming out the corner.

You are right, I run at crystal park every saturday! hehe. I dont think Elite has that lube, I got mine from HK.

The correct name for the lube is Racer's Choice Hyspin.

Thumbs up Ackerman

and C having the least toe change. C will give the most initial
steering and A will give the most coming out the corner.

I think the c part gives you increased ackerman and A gives you less.
