Just the opposite. Ackerman is the difference in the turning radius of the outside tore compared to the inside tire. Bigger difference = more ackerman.

Here is what I have notice on the steering block

A: sharp initial turning, but start pushing at the middle of the turn
C: intiial turning is not as sharp but a the middle of the turn the car more balance meaning front end doesnt push as bad as block A,

B: is just inbetween the 2.

I am using C now i like it more because I dont have to back off on throttle when I enter sweeper at the end of the straight and yet the car not pushing at all.

I need help. The E-clips holding the 1st gear (47T) keeps coming off everytime I increase throttle. Its the 3rd time already. I always use new clips from mugen. what am I suppose to do? are there any alternative clips? Also my front diff is still leaking and I already use 2 gaskets.

My diff did the same thing, so i just put a one-way in it, i won't go back. As far as the e-clips i found the my 2-speed shaft was a litttle smaller in diameter than i was suppose to be. I purchased the hollow one and the mugen clips work great

Anyone use TRC tires? I am going to try them in the morning and wondered what I am in for.

Thanks!

a little tips on e-clips tho it might not help in your situation.

the e-clip has one side with smooth edge and the other side has sharp edge. use the smooth edge side towards inside this will reduce the chance of the clip flying off.

They are the same tires as Mugen Fast, Ellegi, Power, etc.

All made by GRP.

I didn't know that. I thought they were something other than GRP. But after reading your post I saw the GRP on the box.

Thanks!

perhaps the e-clip didnt click onto the shaft grove.
each time when i fix that clip, a 'click' sound can be heard making sure it sits tight on the grove. and i also adopt Manti's trick i.e. to make sure the sharp edge of clip facing outward while the rounder edge facing the inner..
many fittings been done and no problem so far.

reseat the pulleys also helps by removing stress on the e-clip.

yea..it is of vital importance to ensure that the shaft protrudes sufficiently out from the spur where the grove can be seen to fit the clip.

recheck that the 16T main shaft pulley was installed properly that leaving no gap between the shaft pin and 16T pulley. Push the shaft towards inner while cross-checking the rear bulkhead (which holds the main shaft) is aligned properly. Then, try fitting the spurs and see if it solves your problem.

What are the general rules of thumb for when to use front gear diff and when to use the front one way?
