Actually the reason it didn't fit was because the mounting holes did not line up the clutch and gearbox. Since i had already drilled another hole to line it up in the Yok there was nowhere to drill another hole. I never intended to run this engine in the MTX-3 anyway.

The crankcase was a bit longer than a novarossi and it would have been a tight fit. I have heard that the newer Rossi's have a new crankcase.

Hi stefan,

Not many times that my wife would yield a Green Light on let me do the shopping, and once she handed me the PLASTIC, all I did was swipe it, swipe it, and swipe it.

However, there's catch, though. A lot of Japanese RC Stores demand a 5% surcharge on using any plastic. Add that with the 5% Japanese VAT, it's pretty hefty.

Not to mention that I also had to pay duty fees because the custom jerk at LAX didn't buy about what I said that they were all for "pleasure", not "business".

just wonder how you convinced your wife that your trip to japan were for "business", not for "pleasure" ?

Hi
This probably has been asked and I'm going to ask again. :) I race a MTX2. Lately, I've had a bit of trouble getting parts. Many of them have been BO for more than three weeks. I'm not a noob and I don't hit the boards very often. I hardly ever need to be marshalled. I just stick to darn close to the boards and sometimes I clip and break. The guys at the club are on my back because I missed two races due to a lack of replacement parts. Some want me to get a NTC3 and others say Serpent 705. That's about what everybody runs, I'm the only one racing with a Mugen because it's very fast, I know this car well, I love the feel of it and want to continue with Mugen.

So here are the questions, Is the MTX3 really superior, are the parts easily available. I just want to know if the upgrade is worth it.

Thanks.

Which parts are you looking for in particular? I have a box full of assorted MTX-2 parts and one complete MTX-2 car. email me if you are interested.
