it is the right way round, i think this problem is going happen depending on what servo you run, it happened when i built up my car, i filed alittle of the top deck so it cleared, unfortunetly all servos arn't the same dimensions.

Thanks Guys

its all fixed now just put a thinner alloy servo horn and added more spacers so the servo would stick out more to clear the carbon deck

Thanks again to those who helped!

Default servo and engine

Hi

I have assembled my RRR, just need you guys to help me out on taking this decision. as on my earlier FWO5R I was using JR. 8425 / 8411 's both 11kg and they seem to have a problem. No response from them at times they just sit there and do nothing, but when i push the wheels they start working and after a while same again... I dunno how many of you have suffered this. But this happened to me on 4 of my servos, cant understand if its the heat or the bashing... the other 2 were 811's and 559 all digitals.
so 4 in total. I was recommended Futaba's

So I decided to move to Futaba since i am using a 3pk HRS radio

Please recommed for the following.

1. Servos for Steering.
2. Servos for Throttle.
3. Engine.. OS 12 TR T or the TR T e-spec whats the diff ??
4. Tune pipe RD logics Turbo 2 Outlaw.
5. gearing recommendations.. to make it faster.

Regards
ZiiZ

Ive never heard of the servos working once you push the car.

I also use the Futaba 3PK and the best set up is this

1. Steering : S9451 Digital
2. Throttle : S9550 Digital
3. I havnt heard of an OS TR T Espec do you mean O.S. .12 TR (P)-T R-Spec?
4. The RD turbo 2 is an awsome pipe i used to have one on my FW05R but my one was the legal not the Outlaw
5. As for gearing i havnt run my RRR yet so ill let someone else help you there

Cheers

Hi Brain teased...

THanks for the input.... would you know the differenc.. since i can race outlaw here which one would you suggest......

I noticed that the 1.3 hp for the R = spec on OSENGINES.com
and couldnt find the tr T engine there. but tower has it @ 1.1 apart from this R spec is discontinued on tower....

E - Spec is available at my LHS for around 60$ more than the TR T engine.......

Is it worth it ... would the E spec work good with the RD pipe

Regards
Aziz

uaerc, if you can run outlaw you are better off with the 5 port TR(P)-T #11365. I think you can get it at tower for around $145. It has the same horsepower rating as the e/r spec engines. With the money saved you can purchuse the OS hyper head, that should bring up the hp a little higher. You should be able to find this engine on OS's site. The 1.1 hp engines are the other 3-port TR's listed below.

11360 3-Port, Rotary carb.
11361 3-Port, Slide carb.
11362 3-Port, (P)
11363 3-Port, (S)
11365 5-Port, (P) Turbo, Slide carb.
11367 3-Port, (P) Turbo, E-Spec
11369 3-Port, (P) Turbo, R-Spec

By the way OSEngines.com is NOT OS Engines web site. Thats tower hobbies /Great Planes /Hobbico's site. Just cause it says its discontinued there is not always true. It just means they are not carrying it any longer.

1) KO 2344
2)S9451
3)either one
4) The best pipe for this motor is the VR 12 from Skyline Racing
5) How big is your track? The stock gearing works well at most tracks and you will probably have to only change one pinion or the other.
