we are talking about the black clutch flyweights that are in the RRR kit. They work very very well!

Default Stripped 2nd spur gear

I don't know whats wrong but eversince i changed from stock gearing I stripped my 2nd spur gear more often. This weekend alone I stripped 2 new 2nd spur gears. I m using 17/22and 23 with 60/55 spur gears. I aligned and realinged the mounting and using a piece of paper for a good meshing but still my 2nd stripped. Has anybody got this problem as well?

Hi

I destroyed the diff locking insert today. Has anybody else had trouble with this?

I rebuilt the diff with 60K and it was fine. What diff oils are people running?

Cheers

It was damp so had to run rubber. Our track is tight with no sweeping bends so solid front works best with foams

Cheers

Ziggy, this is Ashby? The pictures I've seen certainly doesn't give the impression that its tight. Thanks for the tip!

What car? and what tyres? If its the RRR like your sig then same as me!

We was at the track today but it was damp to start again. I havent had a race with the RRR in the dry yet. After the final the track was dry and we tested the foam setup but my front belt went. Prior to this it was really flying.

Setup was as follows. All stock apart from changes as listed

Front
Black Springs 35 wt oil upright
Roll bar 90 deg (most)
2 deg camber
Clips at back
Diff with 60K oil
10 servo saver
0 deg toe
2mm droop
6mm ride height
GQ 35 tyres 62mm dia

Stock gears

Moded 5 port motor 16% nitro

Rear
Black springs 35 wt oil upright
4mm rear shock tower
outer camber pivot 3mm spacers
2 deg camber 3 deg toe in
4mm droop
7mm ride height
GQ 35 tyres 64mm dia
Rear diff 20K oil

Loletta body

If the belt handnt snapped i would have tried the following

Tyres 61mm rear 60 front
Less roll bar on front
Tighter clutch

If it is ever dry this year i will post a tried and tested setup

Cheers
