It rains a bloody lot here, no wonder no one does on-road IC outdoors here!

Check out www.benartynitro.co.uk For Scottish nitro racing at its best. Also round 3 of UK HPI challenge was held there check there website for pictures and info at www.hpieurope.com
Denso thanks. Actually someone posted about a race there on 3hobby.com and I thought I'd visit the track while I'm here in Scotland. Unfortunately I see that there are floods along the way.

Never mind, I'll be up here again in the future ... will even bring my car for a fun drive. Very nice track from the pictures!

there is a discussion going on right now about titanium main shafts on the mtx-3 thread, some say that it causes binding on the needle bearing if you have a one way bearing on the main shaft.

That is true to a certain extend vadn. However on the 710 it is not an issue because the one-way bearing is not in contact with your main shaft.

Yes, it is definitely lighter. Using it will mainly help with reducing the weight of your car. It is not too effective in reducing rotational moment of inertia because the diameter is small ... still there is a small effect.

Ah OK, thanks for posting and do post more!

Unfortunately I didn't bring my car this trip and we (wifey) made plans for tomorrow and we leave the day after.

No doubt, I'll bring my car and join you folks the next time. The club looked set after going through a few rough patches. Congratulations to the boys who worked hard to make the club what it is today!

The old XRay had the same shocks. They used to share the same set of springs too. The current XRay cars do not.

If you must know, the 710 has the same shocks as the Serpent Impulse Streetspec ( ), Serpent Impulse PRO, Serpent Impact Serpent 705 (except for the rear spring which is the same as used on Veteq), Serpent 835, Serpent 710, Vector, Serpent 950/R etc...

Damn. Is Mark going to be doing his training simulation based on this information from you alone? I wouldn't trust it seeing there is so much rivalry. You never know he already has one drawn up in his ready to run RC simulator... in his dream.

With Wifey as "race director", you need to bring decent RC related gifts for the track owner.
