Just to make it turns smoother... Making the inner hub diameter bigger(to host the thrust bearing) is more important than putting that bearing in between.

It will sure to make the car overall... but if you are talking only putting the bearing in that spur gear which will take a difficult work (to make the bearing sits absolutely center), just do the other parts (bigger inner diameter and polishing) that generates 95 percent of the smoother running diff aspects.

2105MCP should be the better one among your choice. Is Maxpower MAX-MX12MAX5MF NOVAMAX U/C 2,1cc 5P.TRB also consider legal? RR12L3/L5 will still have more power from low to mid range. I believe this is the engine that Fukuda (and Swager?) gives MS someting to remember on winternats...

45T Aluminum Pulley? it will never be since those diff balls will be in friction directly with aluminum. Using those aluminum pulleys will make the tranny runs smoother...

Bring it to the work shop.. a decent lathe machine should be able to do it. Furthermore, in order to help the bearing sits in the real center of pulley, bring used drive belt to cover the tooth for lathe`s chuck to hold the diff gear (45T) better. Idea courtesy from Gold Finger...

Ummm, that's a sensitive issue ! More like % nitro at work.

Anyway, I think Rene C gave a report on the Pre-Worlds at Brazil. He mentioned that the engines used by the Japanese (assuming those were RR12L3 Kondo ones) were around the same as what they had.

Man Salvens excuse factory was working overtime there. If the Mugens were running 40% why did not he? Is he not Serpents best racer? How could the "unbeatable" Serpent factory team get out motored? It is no excuse in my book, he just needs to accept that the Serpent guys had not done their homework on that weekend when it came to motors, the Mugen guys had the car speed.

The pre-worlds was run to IFMAR rules, 16% nitro. This will even up the playing field when it comes to "funny fuel".

Hey Pyramid, next time slow down and don't assume the 710 is invinsible OK?

That looks like the old rear shock tower doubled up. I think the new 3.5 mm single piece rear shock tower is stronger.
