Thumbs up engine tunning queston - should i post is here?

eveyone's car at the track today where pretty clean, no oil on the pipes or body where the pipe comes out. however mine has a lot of oil and dirt and oil residue. I was wondring, this could be because the car is too rich correct? because i am runing 25% fuel which has much less oil than 20%.

since i want to tune my engine, how do i know how to set the low end needle?

thanks

I am sorry for asking to many questions, its just that after being at the track today I realized all these things, and the guys out there are busy alot of the time.

InitialD,

I broke a LOT of stuff on my 710 already, and I mean a lot! I've seen my 710 flying high , turning madly in the air and showering the place with dogbones, wheels, steering blocks .....

But bending chassis and cracking the fuel tank...NOT ! lol

Congratulations buddy!! I don't think I'll be able to do that with the basic setup and yellow springs all over

On other note, I'm glad you have it fixed and ready to go. That's what's all about

Cox! You have a thing or two to learn yet - forget the Lebkuchen - that's for the tourists! Were talking prime quality beer, man, prime quality!
Bayern (the state in which Nuremberg is in) has the highest density of breweries in the world! In my village there are two breweries!!!!!!!!! Man, that's living

As for the car - looks great!! Official snake rctech colours?

The lack of residue can be from many factors. Caster %age in the oil and many things. Don't worry about it. Tune the motor firstly by sound and how fast it is. Then if you like you can check the temps. Different fuels give off differnt amount of visible exhaust trail and leave different amounts of residue. Dont tune by "looking for a smoke trail" as some people advise.

The funny thing is that's the only thing that broke ! Strange. All other parts in tact. Ask crashed_1. He was there. I have not broken any parts that are commonly broken on that track besides the rear shock tower. But like they say, when it rains, it pours ! I thought it was only the tank but when I checked the chassis carefully, I could already see it bend slightly in the middle and in the front. I guess the car took a real hard hit directly at the chassis.
