They sell it at www.nitrohouse.com 40 bux , but no words about it. Looks good and usually ofna is good bang for the buck, but I wouldn't expect top notch performance

If im not mistaken that ofna's copy of the mugen x12 pipe. If so that is the pipe im running and im extremely happy with it. It is extremely strong, performs really well and is an awesome price.

True. I would not get parts like CVDs from them. But from the looks of it, they seemed pretty OK. I got the front upper SSG bumper brace and the titanium 2 speed shaft. The 2 speed shaft seems to hold fine after a weekend of continuous playing.

Hey Dan i ran my 710 with the os.tr and you will be happy how that car runs, y car is one of the fastes in the infield. That motor has soo much low end punch. It lacks a little bit on the top -end.
Get a shorter pipe to release the top end of the engine ! You'll be surprised what the OS can do with a decent pipe ! :sneaky: :D

Brown Centax3 shoe is coming.

Brown shoe? Would that make for more clutch slippage? The brown shoe is harder than the XP stock shoe.

Conical exhaust adaptor for .12 engines.

Do you know if they make the entire pipe length shorter or longer? In other words, more for torque or for top end? Thanks.

Why do you want to sell it? Both are the same in my opinion. The 3PK on the track is more useful because of the built in fail safe.

Both KO and Futaba are a good radio. Myself found futaba has stronger signal by turning both radio on and glithces less than the KO.
The Helios has apparently inproved in terms of signal.

We do not use much of Sanwa as somehow, OVERHERE, has the weakest signal and glitches the worst.. This is kind of remind me of excuses people use when not winning the races on some reports on the net :)
I would agree with you here about Sanwa radios but some racers over here believe that the radio makes the difference in driving for them ! :D

Like Macros mentioned, your 2 speed may be shifting too early. Can the car achieve top speed on the back straight with the other cars? If you can, then the 2 speed may be shifting early. Tighten the screws in the 2 speed shoe. If the engine screams at the back straight to get up to reasonable speed, then your 2 speed is not engaging. Loosen the screws in the 2 speed shoe.

The 835 or the 705 shoes have heavier springs in them. Other than that, everything else is the same. Heavier springs would cause more problem for the 710 in your case.

so what exactly is the ofna X12 pipe for?

what makes a pipe inflied pipe or top end?

is it uncommon to have more than one pipe at the track? /engine

please give a scenario

Thanks for your reply, I guess I wasn't clear on the exact problem. I had too small endplay (.4mm) using the instructions. Adding shims between the flywheel and the motor reduces the endplay - in my case the endplay was already too small so you need to remove the .5mm shim and replace it with a smaller one. I was able to get the endplay to .61mm by using the .30mm shim instead of the .50mm shim between the flywheel and the motor. I saw other people have the same problem as this. It's not clear in the instructions about this point, I'm wondering how critical the endplay is as I've seen some people here say that .4mm is OK, so is .4 - .7mm a good range, or do you just have to try it on the track?
I think it's the OS engine that you're using. With Nova engines, the 0.5 mm behind the brass collet is fine. In fact on mine, I add up to 1 mm (0.5 + 0.5) so that I can use less shims in the front near the thrust bearings.

Well, as lonmg as you understand the principles behind the shimming thing, it should be OK anyhow you do it ! ;)

As for the end play (spacing between the flywheel and clutch shoe), 0.4 to 0.7 mm should be OK. The larger the end play, the more agressive the clutch. Usually, if you want smoother clutch engagement (depending on your track traction and layout), smaller endplay is better. The other variable to play with is the pre-tension spring nut.
