Can someone point out any place selling a 710 kit new in box for $350.

I assembled my front knuckles tonight. On one of them, even with the wheel on and nut tightened, I can grab the wheel and move it back and forth about 0.3mm. This doesn't seem right because my rear ones nd my other front one does not do this? I've tried everything I can think of. What should I do?

I've tried pushing on the axle cup. Maybe the aluminum hex adapter wasn't maachined deep enough for the hardened pin to go in deep enough?

Use .2 dont use .3mm, small play is good for bearing health. |

Re: Re: Re: One just for InitialD
Originally posted by InitialD Same sentiments ! I think I told Mark how I felt about the whole thing on PM sometime back if I'm not mistaken. In F3 he was mega quick - I saw him overtake a guy on the outside of a turn on the last lap - it look like he was going to spear off the track big style, but somehow he got around the guy - it was the most impressive piece of driving I have seen in F3. Unfortunately, shortly after this Alex had a very big accident at Spa - he was luckly he wasn't killed! After this accident he was never really the same again. Personally, although he never mentioned it, I think this affected him really badly - I'm not surprised either!! The step up to F1 was wrong for him, perhaps if he'd had a couple more years in F3000, he would have settled down. End of speech  |
Knuckle is not installed on car yet. I can grab the "axle cup" the thing with the threads for the wheels. I can grab that and wiggle it 0.6mm back and forth. I just measured it. I even put the wheel on and its the same thing.
|
I measured the depth of the groove that is machined into the aluminum wheel hex adapter and both are the same depth. So there must be something else off? I'll try and measure both knuckles to see if they are the same thickness??
