Perhaps... And also due to the need to apply more brakes.

I believe the Kyosho guys were already using solid front in their FW05R cars while Serpent was using the front ball diff.

Why is a diff or a solid axel used in low grip situations? I can see why with respect to braking, but otherwise surely, a one-way will give you better on and off power front-end grip.

Are they using that on their RRR also? I know on the FW05R, they used it.

Saw picture of Josh Cyrul's car with occurs to be a front gear diff.

With a oneway, you need a lot of rear grip ! To be able to turn fast at corners, the rear end must be very stable. Else...

How come they're traction rolling in the low grip condition ? They're using diff/solid front due to the off camber corners, perhaps ?

I saw a picture somewhere of the guy with the radar gun and the spped was showing 108 kmph on the straight!

The video of the lap between Ito and Hara also showed how fast the guys were when they battled it out ... and at that time the TQ/FTD was 32 laps!

Roll on Ray Wood!!!

Really? From who?

Mind you, I also hear that the non-MS Mega engines will costs just over half the price of the JP. We all know that if you don't throw money at it, there is a short change somewhere. Kyosho is proving it at this WC aren't they?

The MS version will be faster but even so, there's only so much you can do from a particular engine to make it faster.

I think it's one of the Picco brothers behind the radar gun...

I guess they regret for not sending us the monoblock engine mount to be grinded (j/k)

Yes, those are the pictures. Goes to show my eyes are now *cough* aged ... it says 100.1 kmph today!

Someone ought to tap on that Picco brother's shoulder and tell him the Serpent guys need MORE speed!!!

They need to be at 110 kmph to get down to 17.5s laps!

Ummm....

Perhaps they just needed to be more consistant on the track with all the irregularities of bumpiness and off camber corners. I believe this is what Julius mentioned. You can be fast but you're off no use when you cannot churn out consistant laptimes.
