Dls is a whole lot of fluffy weight added on to the car for show ! It has not made a difference in the serpent 733 , except making people leave for xray....lol... A huge waist...Leave the Mtx5 free of crappy serpent parts ok !!!!!!!

From the looks of it, He is not using the DLS on the suspension. It's just a brace that help front to rear torsion. Side to side flex will not be affected from the way it's set up. |

I'm not sure it's a good idea to brace it like that. It is off center so any force that would cause a bending motion in beam is also going to cause a twisting motion, tweaking the chassis slightly. Granted, it's such a slight amount of motion that it probably wouldn't be very noticeable but still not ideal.

pinion remover
i have the mugen pinionremover but unfortunately does not work with the new pinions!
i also have the plastic ones from serpent and the 20 teeth pinion barely grabs it, so what are you guys using????? maybe the rrr works as it has 15 and 20 teeth pinions???? |
Mugen is releasing a new pinion tool for the MTX5...

Same can be said with any car using a brace.... This at least lets you realy adjust it to exact lenght vs off center holes in previous designs. |

Well Bishop, that sounds like the culprit.Know that I think about your issue remember having a similar issue when raced a MP7.5,changed the steering servo and the servo saver was set to be loose,it was like I had a S3003 in there

for pinion removal tools the xray pinion removers have a 20 and 15 tooth pinion option. i'm guessing it fits....unless the mugen gears are a funny shape or pitch.

Why not getting the old Mugen pinion tool with the 2 pointy screws?
