We’ve been trying to avoid the issue of stripped gear and it seems that the recommended way (going for softer, low-friction belts, soft spur gears, and one-piece engine mount/new chassis) is the only way. I tried the EVO-Workshop multi-flex chassis though and it works as fine! No problem even when I used the original rubber belt, default spur gears, and the original engine mount. Give it a shot, peeps!

(BTW, I think the new Mugen Seiki chassis doesn’t balance quite well, with the below-engine hole filled up…)

we still use all the old stuff but have installed brace from trackside QLD//AUS WE USED BRACE FOR 6 DAYS AT AUS /NATS and only chipped a gear in final ONE TOUTH// CHASSI WAS STILL STRAIGHT so no complaints used modded rossi

Nice Mugen... The original chassis I find is easier to drive and the One Piece engine mount is very effective. Although standard engine mount work too.. Car is great to work on and customer shouldn't have problem with stripping

I'm using the intellect 1600 Mha LiFe.
I find it just fits but I would like it to be a few mm shorter. It runs close the middle shaft and I'm concerned about it getting damaged if a belt shreds as I run my wires out at this end.

Turn the battery holder around an it should fit just fine....if it in backwards the battery will stick out an touch the belts...I run the same battery an it fits fine...

Shawn I have tried pretty much everything...here is my 2 cents..the stiffet chassis is great for giving u more breaking power...one piece motor mount is the key for solving the stripping of gears problem...I havent tried the new gears cause the problem stopped after installing the mount...when I strip a gear I will try the new ones an post what I think...but. it been about a gallon since the last gear stripped..

Where do you exit the wire
 

Hi mate,
I was just wondering about the wire routing others use.
I have no problem fitting the battery, but because I exit the wires at the front inside this means the wires are close to the mid shaft inner drive pullie.
It's no big deal but I reckon if I shred a front belt it will rip out the wires in the battery. I was wondering if other route the wire at the rear. As I might try that.
