As I said, no sign of Mugen. "A reliable source" tells me nothing.
Mugen has the entire season played hide and seek. Enough is enough.

+1

Hi Greg

Well done to Bailey and yourself on a great performance over the weekend. I thought you might have been running the old MTX4R. Who is making the brace, I have seen an alloy on and wondered if Trackside where selling them?

Thanks
Andrew

It is unfortunate but we have decided to stop riding the MTX5.
We have applied all possible options / modifications but nothing has brought a solution for longer time. Approximately 25 2nd Spurs driven piece.
Our patience has run out and the MTX5 goes on sale.
We will now orientate on what we are going to drive next season.

I say that the material of the spurs is too hard. The teeth break off like matchsticks.
Unfortunately that Mugen gives no sign of live.

It's a shame because it is a very fast car but unfortunately unreliable.

Have you tried the new spurs? If it doesn't take you directly then choose "what's new" and should be the top item.

I told you so :)

hi andrew, im the one making the alloy braces, they work fantastic!! if you want one you can buy it through jeff at trackside rc, 07 3889 7918, once you put one of these baby's on you can kiss gear stipping good bye!
and the added bonus is it makes the car faster.
in fact i did'nt hear of anyone who was running the brace say they had any gear problems, and my son joel was using the same gears and pinions that he used for the previous few club days, i only changed them when he got though to the semi final at the nats not that there was anything wrong with them they almost look brand new still.

cheers paul ramsay.

The brace

CnC MaNs brace.
This is the best looking brace I have seen to date.
I was having a look at the Nats. and I recon at least half the 5s where using This brace. I didn't hear of any major problems with 5s over the whole meeting.

You want a brace, call Jeff he'll sort you out.
Here's a simple photo. I'll see if we can get photos of it in the car but I recon you will work out how it fits.
