Just weighed my car with 1450 life, one low profile servo (throttle), some ti screws, steel rear diff and it came out to 1705 grams!!
It seems like the only option for me is maybe finding a 700 mah life battery (if one exist), Titanium pivot balls, and a low profile steering servo. I am not a big fan of the Low profiles for steering as they seem a little too slow for my taste but if i'm gonna make it anywhere close to 1525 , ive gotta loose weight!

has anyone got a complete listing of the bearing sizes used in the MTX5?
...or a website to a reputable shop that sells a complete set of ceramic bearings?
i checked out acer bearings and it looks like it isn't a fulls et of bearings in the mtx5 kit
...boca bearings do not have a full set of mtx5 bearings available.

I think you will find most 'sets' leave out many of the smaller bearings, though you can usually get them separate, at more cost of course.

the ABEC bearings are quite pricey and you don't get a full kit of bearings. I also read here or on another thread that the quality is not consistent

ceramic bearings can carry as much load as steel bearings. They are used in nitro engines which exert more force than a 2 speed shaft, so ceramics on the shaft shouldn't be an issue.
