Guys,
Thanks for your info on setting up the car. Now I setup with reference to the Baker setup in Las Vegas for V2, and changed the shock oil to front 40wt rear 50wt, gold spring on front, 1mm shim on rear camber link and blade rear anti-roll bar, and now the car is much less understeer. However, I would like to have more steering on exiting the turn and what further should I do? Also, on the Baker setup in Las Vegas he used heavier weight shock oil and springs for front, would that make the car understeer?
To Alan,
Yes I am "that" Jason Chan. I am grounded because our silly government closed our flying field, so I spend time on cars while waiting for a new field that would be ready end of the year.

Try to play around the caster angle, 12 degree give me good result. For the unprepare and not very smooth track, softher spring usually handle the car better.

Stealth greese is basically dielectric grease. Like stated can be purchased at any automotive store. The AE black diff lube is also basically black or gray moly lube, or assembly lube. It's basically used on gas and diesel engine brgs when assembled. It to can be purchased at local auto store also. This is what I have used for years instead of the Ae stuff.
Rene: It would help if you could give us some staight away lengths for proper gearing. If less than 150ft straights try 20/24 pinions and 50/54 spurs.

Gear Selection
I think stock gears are 22/54 & 26/50.
You didn't say whether you thought you were topping out, or just not ever getting to top speed, so here are two recommendations:
If you're topping out in the straight, you could try 21/54 & 27/48.
If you're not getting up to top speed, try 21/54 & 25/50 or 20/54 & 24/50.

sorry i was not thing to good when i wrote this. the straight is about 100 to 125', nothing to big @ all, i am topping out to soon like in between 1/4 to 1/2 thru the straight would like to get that little bit more umph before entering into infield. the 20/24 pinion and 50/54 spur looks good (because 2 of ya'll gave me that gearing), i think i will try that, sorry but here is a bumb a$$ question, 20/50 first and 24/54 second gear? like i said this gearing stuff has me all confused, all i know is that i sure can drive the heck out of the car, if somebody has some way of trying to make it easier to understand or a web sight that would be helpfull. thank you for your replays so far

try 21/27 and 54/48, or even 20/26 with 54/48. make sure it is not shifting to early or you lug the motor because of the six tooth spread. good luck

Are you getting second gear at all?
If yes, what motor do you have? I want one!
With a Rossi NS12, It takes me about 150 feet to find the end of the 26/50 second gear. I don't have it tuned as fast as I could, but it's pretty fast.
If you are truly topping out, and you're really in second gear, then you'll need to go with the 27/48 combo for second gear. The first gear combos that work with that are 21/54 and 23/52.

Also maybe screw the low and high speed needles on the carb down a 1/4 turn. Sound to me your to rich on a setting.
