You might be able to shoe horn that pack into the battery box, but its would help lighten up your car if you did the cutaway battery box mod. Try searching this thread for battery box, there was a step by step description with pictures way back.

I will search, thanks.

This is the cleanest way to do the battery box mod. The link to snapfish for the pictures doesn't work anymore so no pictures.

I removed the box altogether. I am running the trinity pack light weight pack, sho gooed directly to the battery plate on the chassis. I slid it forward a bit to clear the back of the gas tank. I took two screws/nuts and use them to hold the battery plate to the chassis.
It gives you a lot more room to run the wires to the rx box and makes it easier to keep them clear of the steering servo. I used a couple of zip ties to keep the wires neat.
I have a switch with a charge lead so I can charge no problem. If I need to get to the battery I can pop the tank easily (great feature of the r40) and have access to the battery or the nuts to remove the battery plate.
If I have to change the battery the sho goo can easily be removed to seperate the battery plate and the rx pack.
I'll try to post some pics in a day or so.

does any one have a link or a pdf file for the instruction book for the hara edition. i cant find it on the hpi web site
thisisagame24,
If you bought the hara edition, a seperate manual with the upgrades should be in your box. You should have a black manual(standard) and a White one which shows all the hara upgrades.
If you dont have it, let me konw and I will scan it and upload it to the forum.

Hi guys,
I ran my R40 for the first time on a track layout today (I've been just doing speed passes in front of my house for a while). I was quite unhappy with the handling.
1. Whenever I would turn on OR off power, the rear end would just come around and I would do a semi-donut/360.
2. Car seems very twitchy and sensitive when compared to my 1/10 Electric T/C. What should I adjust on the radio to correct this?

I would be looking at car set up....not a radio band aid...
Here is the Hara manual.
Wooohooo! Just got a Hara editon kit on ebay for 259. Can't wait to get it and build it.
