juz wanna ask eveybody's view about the foam tyres run time on the track. well, i often play at parking lot (rough & dirty surface ones) where each time i put on a new set of tyre, the handling is juz great and am able to clock a faster lap time. As the rear foams wear out gradually to about 4-5mm thinkness remaining, the handling is very unpredictable and the rear tend to step out. I run 42 Front/ 40 Rear, and the run time is about 50min.
I am keen to know juz how long can a pair of Rear 40s last on a smooth track surface? (esp. like the track Manticore runs in HK).
i dont know if i have dont some wrong settings to the car or simply just the low quality of track surface...
How does the foam reacts (performance) when they are 4-5mm in thinkness on a smooth track surface? Low grip?
cheers...

It is just a normal V1RR GT kit with the Kyosho NSX body replacing the Protoform Stratus body.

But when four tyres are new, the car is grippy handles good. Is this the norm?

This is the much discussed over/underdrive effect. Basically strange things can happen to the handling when there is too large of a diameter gap between front and rear. I assume you have a gear diff in front?

yesterday when i ran the 42 front (5.5mm thinkness) and a 42 rear (4mm thickness). The car tend to understeer. i cnat figure out why...
those guys run on rubber tyres and are quick.

If he's on the stock 27T pulley on the V1RR, changing to the 25T pulley will create more front overdrive.
If you mean changing the side pulley on the 2 speed shaft (stock is 19T), then yes it requires changing to a smaller pulley to keep the overdrive close to 1:1.
The answer to RClover's problem is a tire truer to keep the front and rear diameters the same or at a predetermined front and rear split. Alternatively, run fresh new tires front and rear all the time
