That depends on many factors.
Just to be sure. The Picco is a silver body case with purple head right? If so, it makes a decent 1.3 or so.
Next, the V One R has always been on the heavy side. However, because of that it is very durable. So I wouldn't count weight to be on your side quite yet.
If you are to beat your friend, it would to gear your car properly for your track and engine. In the past, the V One has been on the low side on gearing so that will work well on a tight track with a short to medium straight away. Keep in mind that the NTC3 has a problem in high speed sweepers because of its inherent torque steer problem. (a reason why everyone has been sticking to belt drive) Also, see if you can adjust your clutch to engage a little later thereby allowing your engine to rev more before engaging. That way it can rev into its power band before engaging the gears to transfer the power to the wheels.
I think you have everything necessary to compete with your car and motor combo. When and if the motor gets tired, just give it a pinch. Also BTW you may want to up your nitro content. If you are running 20% right now, try using 30%. You'll need to richen your settings before you try to tune.

This is the exact one I have bought E-Bay Engine
So yeh it should do the trick, I havent raced before on a proper track, I may try and get to one one of these days and race competitivly but I just run the cars I have for fun. I think I would prefer it geared low because we dont have any massive straights, the longest being about 30metres (90ft)

Engine arrived today along with a T-Maxx from E-Bay (WOOT!!!)
Seeing as I am getting no help on the Picco Forums I thought I would ask here, what size airfilter do I need to fit over the collar of the carb?

U can use original O.S. Air filter(comes with .12TR) or any aftermarket air filter with small diameter inlet will work just fine

what tire shore should i use if i was to play the lola conversion and wat would b the cost of it just wondering and the tow in is hw ??????just bought but dunt no
tires, 40 fronts and 42 rears are always safe and go from there.
Anyone else still running these things?
I got mine second hand a few months ago and i have been loving it.
I guess it seems like it's quite dated, but for a beginning racer it's awesome.
Very durable and damn quick with my Nova Mega or Ninja MT12 in it.

I still run my V One RR-Evo occaisionally. Its a solid car. If you look around you can still find spares and hopups cheap on the Internet.
You can also use parts from the old Trinity Reflex NT if you can find those easier than the Kyosho parts. K-Factory makes parts for the Reflex. I think the Team Magic G4/ RD Logics Mongoose have suspension and drivetrain components that are compatible.

If the engine is stuck, there is no other way than to just:
A: Buy another motor
or
B: Take it apart and overhaul it. You might as well overhaul the clutch also.
Spend some time to take care of your machine and it will treat you well.

The electric conversion for a V One is another 1/10 electric TC.
